When the chapel doors opened.... The violinist playing the wedding march... Everything stopped.... At a time I could no longer hear the music.... My heart beated out of my chest.... I concentrated so hard not to trip and fall.... And then... I saw my future husband.... With tears in his eyes and total disbelief on his face. My knees melted all over again.. I slowly felt a tear running down my face. It was the best moment of my life.
We went to Tsitikama.... Did some bungy-jumping and stayed at the Armagh Country Lodge and spa for three nights. We did some river kayaking, and tree top swings as well. We then went to Knysna and stayed at a tree top self-catering unit. We ate a lot of oysters.. And oh dear was it nice.
We visited the wolf sanctuary and also went to go skydiving at Mossel Bay.
The road tripping was amazing and we stopped at all the little roadside stalls along the way.
Our country and coast is so beautiful.
I would describe my wedding look as simple, yet classy, yet not dramatic... And soft.
Form a easy hairdo... To perfect makeup.
My shoes were comfy too. Me and my girls all wore country boots, with theirs just lower than mine.
I did not wear a necklace and my bracelet was self-made.
We got married at Slipperfields near Port Elizabeth. Guests either stayed nearby at different accommodations or drove back to PE.
Prior to the wedding... About 4 months prior.... I started exercising... Which included jogging for about 20min 3 times a week and 2 days light own body strength training.
I got my tan on and had my lashes done a few days before.

Our theme was "love you deerly".
We thus made a large heart from antlers, painted Ted it white and covered it with white draping.
This was behind the alter and then taken and hanged behind the main table against a wooden wall.. With fairylights.
The venue had a fairylight "roof"... From one side to the other.
Staying with our theme, our Centre pieces were sticks with Roses and 'krismis' roses, and antlers on the tables with desert roses and candles.
All wore nude/cream Wooltworths smart slim fit pants.... White shirts, pink ties and navy suspenders. All had a different striped black sock and hubby wore a navy jacket from edgars.
They wore Light pink/peach infinity dresses and a nude one for my maid of honor. They wore cowboy/country boots in brown.
I had the dresses made for them.

Our Photographer was Letitia Paauw. The most amazing, kind hearted and talented woman you'll ever meet. She had us comfortable in seconds and she does more than expected.
We also had a photo booth for the guests... Rented at Amuse PhotoBooths

No.
None was used. Everything was at the venue..... The chapel and venue and scene for photo sessions... As well as wedding night accommodation.
Our food was prepared by the Slipperfields Farm kitchen.
Our wedding cake, by a local woman, Monique from crazy Cake Creations.

I designed everything myself. Perhaps a control freak?
We did however save a lot of money this way.
We thought, at first, that it would have been a great idea... If we started with a slow romantic song.... The brat changes... And therethen do an out_of the_box dance... Such as the cha_cha slide. We only had a (very small) little problem..... We never dance together, dont know how to go about doing the cha_cha slide and had no instructor.... Only YouTube videos as out dance instructor. So, with the song chosen to be "Little Bitty Pretty One" and a couple of after-work training sessions filled with laughing, we decided we'll have it under control. Please note that this was a week or two prior to the big date.
So there we were.... The music started... We did 3 moves.... And totally forgot what else to do.... Our routine ended in a funny (having the guests laugh and clapping) moment.
It was all worth it.... But oh how I wish we just did a normal slow dance
