We had a blessed and absolutely fantastic wedding day on 1 April 2017 in the small town, Lichtenburg, with 200 guests. My father married us (which was very special) in the old Klipkerk in town, and our reception was at the Leon Bantjes venue of Hoërskool Lichtenburg. We did everything ourselves with the contribution by and the help and hard work of our parents, siblings, friends and guests. Our wish was to have a beautiful, smart and 'lekker' wedding, and for our guests to enjoy every moment. My mother, whom I love dearly, and my bridesmaids spoilt me from the beginning. We had a guest artist and our guests celebrated with us until very late. We danced all night and enjoyed every moment.
My favourite part was seeing the look in the eyes of my fiané (at the time), while walking down the aisle with my father by my side, knowing I was about to marry the most wonderful man. Words cannot describe the excitement I felt. De Wet is an amazing man, and he has always treated me kindly and softly. We were also very blessed to have all our parents and siblings with us on that day - we will always be thankful for that.
We believe that, as long as we always pray together and strive to live according to the nine Fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control), we will have a wonderful marriage. This was also our wedding reception message from my father.
