On 8 April 2017 in Prieska, Northen Cape... I've married my best friend, the love of my life and now my husband.
I woke up to a very cold and rainy Saturday morning. In Prieska, a small town in the Northen Cape, where I grew up, they say when it's raining on your wedding day ..you will have a blessed marriage. So I saw this as a blessing rather than weather that will maybe ruin the day. As the day went on the storm blew away and we had the most amazing clouds that hung over us and we took the most beautiful photo's.
As many brides will say:" This was the most amazing day of my life", It truly was for me. 140 Guests that drove across the country to be witnesses of unconditional love of two people joined together , is the most amazing feeling in the world.
Not one moment I have stopped laughing and having fun, I had no anxiety what so ever during the day...but I guess that is how you should feel when you are marrying your one and only. There is no better feeling than to be surrounded by your friends and family that loves and cherish you. We danced and laughed the whole night long in the heart of the Karoo beneath the stars.
Looking back I would not change a thing about that day..it was truly perfect.
