On the first of April, Nico and I, Anneri, got married. But wait there is a whole story before that. Oky, yes, I am very young. Nico and I met when I was in matric (18 years old). We went out together and our relationship grew into a beautiful story. On the 28th of November 2016, I wrote my last matric paper. That afternoon he surprised me with the big question. He asked me to marry him and obviously I said yes! This is where the real planning, organizing and hours of shopping started. Luckily, my grandma is a florist and her hands where the best to decorate the tables, arches and hoola hoops we hung in the trees.
Nico and I decided to make it a morning wedding, as the morning is symbolic for a new start. The first of April also holds a lot of symbolic meaning for us, as it is the date of new beginnings. Both our families have a lot of little children, we gave each of them a special work, like giving out our self-written newspapers, handing out petals, holding up a board with a saying or quote and riding in the cart to welcome the bride.
Our wedding was beautiful. I wish you where there in person to feel the abundant love just flowing.
