Every moment was special, but what stood out was seeing my husbands face when he first saw me walking towards him and secondly having a few intimate moments with my daughters as we symbolically united in a new family together
We had quite a variety in our honeymoon. Started off with a week in Phuket and on return to South Africa we headed for the secluded Tankwa National park and ended off stargazing at Sutherland.
As I was an older second time around bride, I preferred a soft, elegant, flowing design for my dress. On the beach we were barefoot with just some foot jewellery. I had a semi up hairstyle with soft curls and a hairclip matching the dress. For jewellery I wore only a string of pearls around my neck with matching stud earrings and a matching bracelet.

We got married on the beach in Buffalo Bay and had our reception at the beautiful Villa Castollini. Some guests stayed overnight at Villa Castollini and some in Buffalo Bay and Knysna.
The décor at the reception was all white and green and crystal and glass with lots of candles. Janet from Plates and Things created a stunning atmosphere with her touch of decorating and using various elements.
The men in the wedding party were very casual in dark khaki green chinos and white shirts. Also barefoot on the beach.
The bridesmaids wore Turqouis blue wrap dresses from Besters Bridal boutique.
The marriage was officiated by rev Rodney Jamieson from the Methodist church in Knysna.
Liana from Lilly's Memories captured the day in images which caught the emotions and feel of the day. Special moments captured by her lens. At the reception we had a fun photo booth with props for the guests to have some fun with.
Our wedding car was my husband collectors item, a 1940 limited edition Mercedes(he took me out on our 2nd date in her). She was all dressed up with satin ribbon and soft heart cushions on the inside.
The delicious food at the reception was made by Villa Castollini's in house chef, Juan. Awesome flavours in every dish. Desert was the wedding cake that was made by myself. It was a combination of my 2 favourite cakes, carrot cake and baked cheese cake, layered on top of each other and frosted with cream cheese frosting in a nude look with fresh roses on top.
