We did go on honeymoon. I won a weekend at Protea Hotel Hluhluwe Game Reserve through a travel workshop at work so we decided to go there for 2 nights. We did a game drive which was lovely, although did not see much except a beautiful Rhino which I was absolutely terrified of.
We then went to Midlands Saddle and Trout after that for a week which was very relaxing.
We got married at Sweethome Weddings & Functions in Eston, PMB. Beautiful setting, overlooking a lake, stunning water feature, the chapel was amazing with big glass window looking on to the lake. this venue is hidden away in the sugar cane fields, it is just so peaceful and tranquil. stunning big stairway leading down to the venue . the reception area have these amazing wooden rectangle tables that were made by the owner, gives a rustic look.
We stayed over at Inzingizi Lodge for the night. Some guests stayed over at Tala Game Reserve, and various other venues in the area.
Our planner was Anne Warman from E by A. She is based in PMB. She is just amazing and so patient and helpful. I think we changed things about 50 times, yet she was so calm and accommodating. it was awesome. even on the day she had added extra props to our set up at no extra charge. I highly recommend her.
Janet Haw from Fuchsia Designs based in Kloof did our invites and save the dates. Her work is incredible and attention to detail. She did save the date magnets with our colour scheme and a picture of a Protea flower on, was too lovely.
Yes we did start dance lessons with Shirley Meintjies from Hillcrest. She has a dance studio and does lessons for all ages. She was so patient and taught us a really lovely dance. It was also of fun and it was something that my husband and I got to do together - our time.
