Every girl has this dream of the perfect day - one day, but the truth is, every single person has already written a part of their life story before standing in front of the altar with the person they love dearly, which will make a difference in some way.
Truth is, there will always be a flaw on the day, but the difference comes in with what you make of it…
Most people say that one will know when love arrives at your doorstep, but our story is totally the opposite. At first we could not stand one another, almost as the typical romantic comedy “Life as we know it”.
The transformation was incredible, we have grown fond of each other, caring for and loving one another in a way I never imagined was possible. He became my partner in crime, my best friend, my support system and my faithful lover. Who could have thought that one person could be all of this in one?
The most memorable day, 18 March 2017 on Rosemary Hill Farm, taught me one thing;
“No man can live on only food. People need every word that God has spoken.” { Matthews 4:4 } -
realizing that this has to be the corner stones of our marriage to ensure that we stand steady when everything around us tumbles and falls.
On our honeymoon, I wrote this verse on a wine bottle at JJ’s restaurant in Knysna. The owner was so moved, he placed our bottle in his display case, with the hope that we could share this with our children one day. This might not be possible anymore, due to the unfortunate events in June 2017, but this leaves me with one last conclusion;
Nothing lasts forever, for we are living in an era where if something is broken, we throw it away, but I would like to believe that if something is broken, fix it – regardless of the time and effort.
