Me and Corné had the same Pastor that wanted to introduce us to each other. He then told Corné he must give me a call for a coffee date and the Pastor said I should say yes. Corné called me and we went for our fist blind date on 14/2/2016. And it was the best blind date ever. From there things just evolved and we started dating a month later.
We got engaged at amanzi game farm. We went for a "braai" with friends and when we got there our friend said he's first going to take us for a game drive and clay shooting, me expecting nothing. We drove a while and then stopped at a dam. Our friend then "forgot" the clay shooter and had to turn around, but said we should stay there. Corné then took me to see something at the dam and there was a table filled with food and champagne for us. He then went on his knee and asked me to marry me. Only then I knew what this braai was all about.
The whole day was famtastic. But our opening dance stood out. We opened on Try everything from Shakira. When we came into the hall we opened and the people stood and clapped the whole song.
Also getting married in the Karoo was a highlight.
We went to Zanzibar.
I looked for pictures of dresses, hair and make up and those the ones I liked most. Im a plain jane and wanted a natural look. My shoes I brought at Truworths, it was comfortable and had a shine to it and I wanted something I could wear again. I wore pearl earings I got for my 21st birthday with two pearl bracelets. My wedding dress I hired in Bloemfontein at Leehra bridal.
I got married on The Vale guestfarm just outside of Beaufort West. Some of the guest stayed over on the farm and others had to stay in town or nearby guestfarms
I am a fitness freak and never stop gymming. So I just went on with my normal routine. Didn't go for any extras.

Both of us like to dance so no dancing lessons was taken, we just went with it. One of our friends did the music and was brilliant.
