Our Wedding Day was truly one of the best days of my life. We didn't spend 1000's of Rands or do something super fancy, but we simply did something that represented who we are, relaxed, happy, easy-going and present to take in every moment. Our service was in the Central Methodist Church in the Cape Town city centre and our reception was a Tiger's Milk in Muizenberg. I think of one word when I remember our wedding day- CELEBRATION! From the moment the day began we were laughing and enjoying everything we could. I fortunately cannot related to the assumption that brides don't remember their wedding days or get a chance to take it all in. I remember every moment fondly, like it was yesterday.
We were blessed enough to be able to go on two honeymoons. For the week after our wedding, we stayed local, at Arum Lilly Cottages. It was a wonderful experience. Think, log cabin, outside fire jacuzzi, right on the lake... you get the picture! It was very relaxed and just what we wanted. Then we saved our big adventure for a few months later so that we could attend our friends wedding in Croatia. Which most probably doesnt need any words for any one to conclude that it was breathtaking. David and I kept it very simple though, as we do. We took our backpacks, a map and with the help of air bnb, we got around right from the South of Croatia all the way up the coast to the North.
Describe my look: ME! I had a blush dress, a simple braided up-do, tan and gold heels, with very natural makeup. My make up was done by Lechelle Taylor, she has a youtube channel, go check her out! My hair was done by Hayley Moore. My Dress I bought at Ever After Bridal in Durbanville, which im now looking to sell ;) And the beautiful photos by Sarah and Marcel Le sueur.
Tiger's Milk Muizenberg.
We kept it really simple, in TRUE Capetonian style, and used the decor that Tigers Milk already has.
The groom, David, got his suit from ZARA. and the groomsmen threw together what they had at home! as long as it was navy and white with brown shoes.
These ladies wore rose gold color dresses. Basically I gave them a colour pallet and they chose their dress!
Our marriage officer was our Pastor and boss, Sean Phillips. Urban Edge Church Durbanville.

We had some of our talented friends play as a live band for us. They were phenomenal. They all are on our churches worship team. Otherwise we let apple playlist do the rest!
