Dancing to Lana del rey "Video Games" singing all the lyrics to eachother falling inlove over and over again during our dance.
My biggest highlight was entering the reception room dancing to Kanye West "Good life" unexpectedly planned by my husband however it did soothe the nerves.
Memorable moment to be honest was while walking down the aisle even thou I had those ugly cry expressions it was seeing my husband to be and how handsome and stylish he looked gazing at me.
Ending the night in the pool at the venue in my wedding dress topped all of these :)
We decided to do the South African experience as we had traveled quite abit previously in our 13 years of being together. We were blessed from my in-laws to first stop off at Kagga Kama Nature reserve for a few nights in their cave suites. We then road tripped to Langebaan stopping at all the farm stalls on the way. We stayed at Mykonos for a few nights. We then headed off to a hotel in Sea point which we don't usually get to do the touristy things which was amazing to finally ride on bicycles along the promenade, eat ice-creams and soak up the sun. We headed to a hotel in Table view and spent a few nights there eating at different restaurants along the coast.
Since Nicole Richie's wedding in 2010 with her long sleeve wedding dress I knew that I would wed in a long sleeve. I kept it very simple with a long white dress with lace detail on the chest and sleeves, with a small open back. I was super blessed to have a professional hair and makeup artist as a sister so I chose to have dark maroon lips with matching maroon nails with my hair swept up with a few pieces hanging and a fringe swept in a middle path. My earrings were Moroccan style and both my husband and I are Christians so we decided to wear matching rings which both had imprinted on them in Hebrew "I am his and she is my beloved".
We both went to Simondium Country Lodge as our first venue on the list and both instantly fell inlove with the farmstyle and vintage essence. The peacocks walking around with rose bushes to the rustic feel. The main thing we loved was the Peacock palace which is like an old church cottage with big colorful wooden windows. The venue has accommodation and we all stayed in different rooms wihich are all decorated in different styles with lots of vintage and new pieces. We all had breakfast together in the morning.
I am a real simple girl however I did bootcamp for about 6 months prior to the wedding. I gradually lightened my hair to get a golden brown color over the past year. It was also nice to be able to budget to treat my bridesmaid's to a treatment of their choice at Bionic Hair Studio. I had my nails and a great massage there to ease the nerves.
We were vintage inspired and used alot of vintage pieces we hired from To-netts. I also have a lot of pieces I had collected over the years such as old cameras, radios and telephones and teapots to books. We incorporated coppers with pops of colors from different flowers. We used Tiffany chairs from Tiffany and co hire. We had at the entrance photo frames of all our loved ones that had passed with candles. We kept it very simplistic with key pieces.
The groom wore a polka dot shirt with a light grey blazer and trouser from Topshop finished off with a wooden bowtie. The groomsmen wore cream trouser shorts with tan shoes and peach blazers with wooden bowties to match the groom.

All my bridesmaids are really relaxed and easy going which I was blessed with and they just wanted something comfortable and flowy that did not show to much skin. They wore blush pinky cream dresses from YDE and comfortable flat tan sandals.

Most of the planning I had prepared for months in advance but the most amazing friend Raesean Clarinino who has experience in event planning and decorating assisted with the flowers and table setting plus our sweet and dessert table.

Simondium country lodge served delicious canapes to start following a 2 course meal and a sweet table with boxes for the guests to take home. Our wedding cake was made by a Carol Wamsteker and our red velvet cupcakes and donuts etc was from Crazy Daisy.
We had an amazing friend and graphic designer Chrissie Bosman design everything from our invitations to our menus to our itineraries to the gifts on the tables and the stickers on the boxes. We then got it all printed at Wizards.
We had a one man band Westley Engelbrecht from Acoustic Liquid to start off our ceremony as we finished tying the knot and we walked out to Stevie Wonder "Signed Sealed Delivered I'm Yours" while we had petals thrown over us. He then sang during the canapes and welcome drinks were served. We also had a caricature to keep the guests entertained with some lawn games.
We had Lowgan Puls Dj and partner dj the remainder of the night and we continued into 2am.
