I still get butterflies in my tummy when I think about the day Stephen asked me to be his wife. And more butterflies when I remember our wedding day. Every second of our special day was so immensely blessed.
Pouring rain was forecast for the day of our much anticipated beach wedding. Yet I had faith that it would all work out perfectly. And it did. Heavy clouds filled the skies, as I made my way down the beach towards my handsome fiance. Sand and seashells crunching under my feet, adorned with beaded soleless sandals. Chairs along the isle were decorated with thick braids of raffia and mint-coloured ribbon, plaster starfish hanging happily from each one.
Our closest friends and family smiled tearfully with us, as we said our vows in that warm, misty air.
As the photographer snapped the last photo, the rain began to fall. We had been blessed with the perfect beach wedding we had hoped for, and we knew that our lives together would be equally blessed.
I work at a shopping centre by an optometrist my now husband opened a water shop in the centre I started to drink lots of bottle water which I started to buy at his shop because I wanted to see him. Then a friendship started and so our relationship grew.
It was Christmas day 2015 my parents always made Christmas special so I did not suspect anything we opened our presents and then he stood up and said we have been together for over a year and our love grew and he cannot imagen his life without me he went on one knee and said will you do me the honor of being my wife and I said yes of coarse. He chose Christmas day because Jesus Was born to make our lives new and that is why he asked me to be his wife on this significant day because our lives are starting out new. He proposed in front of our family and we skyped his sister and her family in Australia as well so they can be part of the special day.
