I found it difficult to find a wedding look as such, there are so many great trends these days. I remember remarking to my Mom that I wish I could get married ten times (to the same guy) to do all of the looks! In the end I decided to go simple, timeless with a touch of me. I chose a classic A-line, borrowed my moms pearl earrings and wore my hair in loose curls. BUT, my dress had a beautiful lace back with intricate beading that felt completely me!
Our Venue was Rosemary Hill in Pretoria. The staff there really work incredibly hard to give you the perfect day. The rose maze was the most beautiful place to share our vows, and the reception was held in their barn. Our bridal party and family stayed at the farm for the night. The rooms were recently completely revamped and are stunning.
I combined a protein rich diet with some weight lifting leading up to the wedding. My routine consisted mostly of jumping rope, deadlifts into military presses, flys,leg presses, pushups and squats, squats and more squats.

The theme for our wedding was Warmth. We wanted everyone to feel at home and relaxed. As such, the decor was not too structured and revolved around having a lot of warm light included; it was more about the lighting than the flowers. There were candles absolutely everywhere in the reception hall. We used terrariums on the tables because of special significance in the family. In fact, the one on our main table was made by my new in laws.We didn't worry about the flowers for the ceremony, the maze was so beautiful it did not need anything else.
My bridesmaids wore dresses from Hoiden bridesmaids. They have an awesome catalog and make dresses to size, which was very important for me as all of my bridesmaids have very different body types and two of them live overseas!.
I chose the colour and told the girls that I want long dresses. They chose their own design. I think this was best as each girl new what they would feel most beautiful in and I think it worked out perfectly.
I designed and printed all of our stationary myself. It took forever but I think we saved a lot of money doing this.
