My Grandmother walking me down the isle and handing me over to the love of my life.
My husband had booked an all inclusive trip to an island in the Maldives. We left just a few days after our wedding.
My wedding look was very rustic/vintage. My dress had so much detail I had to keep the rest plain and simple yet elegant. I had minimum jewelry and accessories. Only stud diamond earrings. No bracelet, no chain, just diamond earrings (and later of course my rings).
Lingerie was a bit tricky has my dress was extremely revealing. A stick on bra and no undies were my only options (especially for the optics).
My shoes, originally I wanted off white (my dress was off white) Louboutins but with all that was going on I ran out of time to order it online and then ended up getting the perfect shoe at Foshini.
Our service, right through to the reception was at The Rose Barn, Jeffreys bay, Eastern Cape. Only a few of our guest stayed over at the cottages on the venue grounds and those that travelled from a far stayed in Jeffreys Bay at Hotels and guest houses.
My main concern was off course fitting into my wedding dress. My husband and I attended gym twice a day, went on the LCHF (banting) diet, did regular spa treatments (mainly massages) and a few weeks before I had facials done.
