My darling husband, Kyle, and I were wed at the beautiful Zonnevanger Wedding Venue in Paarl on the 4th February 2017. We were graced with a gorgeous bridal party, friends and family. We had an outdoor ceremony on a lake encapsulated in a beautiful garden and vineyards with a romantic February breeze. My mom walked me down the isle to Pachebel's Canon in D that was played by the ever talented Simply Strings before I was greeted by my dashing Kyle. The day was magical. A true fairytale that to this day we are still nostalgic. We said our vows and pledged our love to each other which was wonderfully captured by Rayphography and Mustardseed Films who did our photography and videography. We had so much fun and everything went perfectly. Heavenly Love did our beautiful decor and The Cake Lady made our gorgeous and yummy cake. We danced the night away to our favourite jams played by Mr Mobile DJ. Needless to say that at this point in the evening I changed into my reception dress and more comfortable shoes. It was a party after all, lol.

On the 18th July 2015-my birthday, my then boyfriend and now amazing hubby took me horse-riding in the Cape Winelands. We journeyed to Backsberg wine estate where we were given a tour. Ending off the tour we entered a secluded garden area with a private table decorated beautifully with roses...my favourite, gorgeous food and champers...also my favourite. At this point I knew something was up, but then I also thought he might just be spoiling me on my birthday. Kyle is after all so romantic. We approached the table and boom...he goes on bended knee and asks the question. The answer was YES! At this point I completely forgot that I had to ride my horse back to the stables which was 45 minutes away and due to excitement and happiness overload the champers must have locked in very fast. Lol oh well. It was memorable.
We were fortunate enough to have two honeymoons. Our original honeymoon was supposed to be in Mauritius. However, when we arrived at OR Tambo International Airport in February 2017 we were informed that out flights were cancelled due to a tropical cyclone in Mauritius. We then embarked on a bespoke honeymoon at the beautiful Sun City. We stayed at the Palace for 4 nights and then at the lovely Ivory Tree Game Reserve in Pilanesberg for an additional 3 nights. It was amazing. We did everything from jet-skiing, para-sailing, to playing with lion cubs, and game drives. Our second honeymoon in June was just as amazing. We spent it at the stunning Mauricia Beachcomber Resort in Mauritius. We stayed there for 7 nights. Here we went on tours in Mauritius, visited neighboring uninhabited islands, snorkleled, water-skiied, hung out with locals, and so much more. We were truelly blessed to experience all this together.
