Most memorable moment was when we came into the hall...we did not walk in...we DANCED in...to the song "you've got something I need" by Ben Haenow. Everyone expects one to walk in and we blew them away by dancing in and then before the song ended my husband took his 6 year old daughter and closed off the song by dancing with her.
Another highlight was that we shared our wedding day with VERY special friends of ours, and they celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary. Thus we did not throw my bouquet and garter we surprised them by handing it to them and handing the dance floor over to them with the song that they opened their dance floor with on their wedding day.
Yes we went on honeymoon. my husband planned it all by himself and everything was a surprise, from beginning to end. We started off with the first night in Oudtshoorn and from there we went to Knysna for a few days then to Paarl to a wine farm then to Hermanus then ended off in Blouberg. every destination a surprise.
I did not want anything over the top but still stylish. My accessories (jewellery) were my something borrowed from a friend, that she wore on her wedding day. My dress was made by RoedolfD couture. It had a very light layer of light green underneath, just enough to deceive the eye and make one wonder is the dress actually white or not. Had the one shouldered effect. Roedolf also made a garter especially for me and incorporated the "something blue" for me. My veil was also especially made to match my dress with the matching beads of the dress on the veil. My something old were cushions from my friend that we kneeled on in the chapel for our Blessing.
