The highlights would most certainly be the moment I saw my husband to-be before walking down the aisle. 10 years of emotions poured right through me to that very moment. I adored the entire morning leading up to the cermony. I felt like a princess the entire day. The venue was absolutely breath taking with wild life and horses roaming - the most beautiful setting for the most beautiful day. Truly the greatest day of my life.
We went to Mauritius - all inclusive. We were treated like royalty. We needed the relaxation after a stressful couple of weeks and the beach combre was the perfect answer. The evening sunsets were the most magical I have ever seen - a romantic getaway it most certainly was.
Our wedding look was sophisticated yet rustic. We wanted a laid back and soft feel to the venue but also bring a pinch of elegance and beauty. My dress was made by De La Vida Bridal Couture. This was the elegance coming through whereas my hair was a messy up style with soft make up to tie the theme together. My jewellery and accessories were handed down to me from generations before which made my day even more special.
We were married at the beautiful Green Leaves wedding venue in Hartbeespoort Dam. The entire venue of 100 people all stayed over. The venue was magnificent and the added bonus was the ability for all of us to have breakfast the next day together.
Most certainly health and fitness and eating extremely well. I also did a few sunbed sessions to give me a glow on the big day.
Our flowers were done by Noel’s flowers and decor by SA event Decor. It consisted of white wooden rustic tables with steel chairs to go with the Tuscan venue style. Each table had flowers beautifully laid out on diamond candelabras with oil candles. We also had two lanterns on each table with roses and smaller candles laid out on each. We had wheel barrows outside as cocktail tables. We also brought in craft beer and cider as well.
They wore 3 piece suits from the oriental plaza that were custom designed to fit each of them.
My bridesmaids wore hand made dresses that I designed myself and material was bought at the plaza. The hair also had a messy plait look to tie with the theme.
Our photographer was Dirk Norval. He did an amazing job. The video photographer was Orbit cinema photography.
Yes Lynn Hart who owns Purple Fig Events. She was extraordinary and made our entire wedding come to life
The food was prepared by the venue. The cake was done by Elicia Designs
This was self made :)
We had a saxonphonist during the pre-reception who was absolutely amazing. A huge hit!! The DJ was recommended by the venue and were fantastic!! They made it a party! We did take a few dance lessons as well.
