Magical Moments

Nothing felt greater than seeing all we had planned for months finally come together. And it all would not have been possible without the love and support from our family and friends and the professional service provided by our Deco company, catering company and photographer. Truly a day that we will never forget ❤️

My Special Day

We decided on a Modern Traditional Wedding. Our inspiration beingvthe beautiful Xhosa culture we both are proud of but with a modern twist. Our outfits captured the theme by being derived from the traditional Xhosa fabric called umbhaco, with lace detail to give it the modern twist. The same concept was captured by our deco lady with the use of modern deco mixed with traditional shweshwe material table runners, napkin holders and African pots as centre pieces. We later changed into full traditional Xhosa regalia and all our guests honoured our traditional attire theme. This all assisted in capturing the concept beautifully.

The Venue

We got married in our home town, Queenstown Eastern Cape. The exchange of vows was at the historic Methodist Church of Southern Africa on Ebden Street and a tent was erected to accommodate the hundreds of our guests for the reception at a remote location.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I was blessed with natural beauty and glow on our wedding day with the assistance from a local make-up and nail technician. It's a wonder how I looked that radiant with all the stress leading up to the day

Marriage Officer

We were blessed to have Rev Similo Sanqela fly in our day. He is our current minister at Bryanston Methodist Church in Johannesburg. We have sentimental value when it comes to him because he has been a big part of our spiritual journey even before our relationship began.

My Captured Moments

Our photographer was a young gentleman from our hometown who goes by the name Sibusiso Ninzi. He is originally a graphic designer who is only starting out as a photographer. He trades under his company name called Folic Concepts. He was a true Godsent and Gem on the day

The Wedding Planner

No. It was a joint effort between family and friends

Food & Cake

Food was prepared by local catering ladies from Queenstown. And the cake was baked by a local baker called Prissi

Wedding Stationery

It was all the hard work of our Deco company, Sparkle Celebrations

The Reception and Entertainment

At the reception we had s Dj from one of the local EC radio stations called Dj Minty. She later also played all night at the after party which was held at a farm/bnb outside Queenstown called Idle Wild.

We also had a local Jazz band organized by my Father in law. They turned out to be the show stoppers of the day.
