To pinpoint any particular moments would be impossible. The day was more than I could have ever dreamed of and so much more. I could not believe that finally, after almost 10 years, I would be marrying the one person I could never live without. A few happy tears were shed, and many laughs were shared. Definitely the most beautiful and memorable day of my life. I wish I could relive it everyday.
We started our honeymoon off in Thailand. We spent a week on the remote island, Koh Lanta. We stayed at a small resort called Sri Lanta. The cabins were old styled Thai cabins. Absolutely beautiful. Every morning started out with breakfast along the beach front, and every evening ended with dinner along the beachfront, enjoying the most beautiful sunsets over the ocean. After a week at Koh Lanta we headed to Bangkok where we explored the city for a further 10 days. Finally, we were gifted with a week in Cape Town, and so we headed to Bloubergstrand for a week to finish off our unbelievable honeymoon. We stayed on the beachfront and experienced full views of the beach, Robben Island and Table Mountain. Just wow! What an experience it was!
I was so fortunate to have worn my dream dress designed by Wilte Lily Bridal. The first time I saw this dress I fell in love. Never in a million years did I actually think I would be able to wear it. Thanks to my incredible sister, and a sale at The Wedding Collective in Pretoria, I was able to get my dream dress. My makeup was done by Beautiful Change and my hair was done by Captivating hairstylists. They are amazing!
Lace on Timber. What a spectacular venue! All it took was a single trip to a dingle venue and I was sold! I did not look at any other venues. After I saw the unique Lace on Timber venue, I could not see myself walking down any other aisle.
Very natural. Single orchid centre piece with wooden under plates and rose gold accessories.
Our marriage officer was Fr Peter from CBC. My husband and I started dating at 16. We met in school, at CBC. Fr Peter was the school priest at CBC. He has been a part of our journey from the start. We could not have chosen anyone more appropriate to unite us in marriage.
JC Click. They are phenomenal! They are just such amazing photographers and also just the nicest people. They were such a joy to work with and always made us feel comfortable. My husband and I also have a few crazy ideas, and they were always keen to give any new ideas a go.
Lace on Timber provided us with all the coordination for the day. They were awesome!
Food was prepared by the venue. Our cake was made by the Bakers Boys.
