Our wedding was held on the 16th of Dec 2017 on a sunny Saturday, which was our white wedding. Then we proceeded to hubby's home for the traditional wedding on Sunday the 17th of Dec 2017
It was in 2010, when we met. I was doing my community service as a pharmacist in Tabankulu health Centre beginning January.
He joined in February and as he was introduced to us, he couldn't get me off his mind.
He made advances towards me and I was charmed off my socks
He organised a nice picnic for us, and after our nice lunch as we were chillin' he got down on one knee...."He asked, and I said YES
Walking down the aisle with my father walking towards my hubby was the best moment
Yessssss!!!! We went to Mauritius
I wore a beautiful white princess cut dress with an alternate neckline from Bride and Co Rivonia Sandton JHB. Shoes from some shoe shop in Kokstad, they were shimmering champagne with crystals. Lingerie from Edgars and woolworths. Jewellery and accessories were from Truworths and Foschini. Pretty simple really. I believe in the saying "less is more"
We got married at Dans Country Lodge in Mthatha on the Saturday, then at Mount Frere at the groom's family home on Sunday. The Bridal Party slept overnight at the Lodge.
I bought Celltone mask step 5 and used it week leading to the wedding weekend. I had gym subscription and was very active, and tried to maintain a " high fat low carb" diet... so I looked fabulous on my day. I had braces installed to straighten my crooked teeth so I took them off on my wedding weekend.

It was a garden wedding which was nicely decorated, there was lots of greenery. Our reception hall was beautifully draped in white all around, about 5 chandeliers hanging on the ceiling, there were mirrors on the walls. We had square tables with 10 guests seated on crystal clear Tiffany chairs, with about 250 guests. We had beautiful lemon flower center-pieces in mint vases. Our wedding colors of course being yellow and mint.
Umvini Events based in Mthatha, were behind all the decor, and did an exceptional job. They rented all furniture, lighting, flowers and other elements. The stage was provided by the venue.

Matron of honour wore a mermaid fit mint dress, and the bridesmaids wore flurred yellow dresses. We were inspired by some online looks. Aphiwe, a fashion designer based in Mthatha brought them to life. The traditional dresses were designed by Pinky from Pink Creations.
Methodist Church Bishop DD Dabula officiated us.

I planned the wedding, so no planner.
We rode in our own cars with personalised wedding plates. Bride in a white c-class Mercedes, and the groom in a silver one.
Dans country lodge ( the venue) did our catering. The wedding cake was done by Umvini Events.
Stationery such as programs, menus, table numbers and so on, was done by Umvini Events.
Dj Vuyo from Mt Frere was the deejay, who also provided sound. Our Mcee Mr Siyamcela Dubhayi also brought his live band including himself, so we had both.
