For any two people to make the decision to completely commit themselves to each other is quite special. In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find someone who loves you for exactly who and what you are and my husband is all of this and more.

-With my dad and future husband waiting for me at the altar, my beautiful mom walked me down the aisle - this was a very special memory for both of us: from bringing me into this world, nurturing and guiding me through life to getting me to the next chapter.
-Seeing my husbands face light-up when he saw me, and the overwhelming joy we felt as we said our vows...

My dress was an off-white, classic, Cinderella-style cut met with endless flowing layers of beautiful silk and organza, finished off with a silver and rose-gold belt detail.
My shoes were all DIY projects: transforming plain white heels to pizzazz diamanté sparklers for the ceremony and for the reception, a relieving change into some bedazzled sneakers - comfy and stylish and ready to hit the dance-floor.

Our magical day was held in the lush forest at Solms-Delta Wine Estate in Franschhoek Valley. The dream setting for our dream day!
As the venue don’t have accommodation facilities on site, we sent guests links to Airbnb, SafariNow and TripAdvior - most of whom used and stayed in sweet, quaint guest houses close by.
My workouts were very minimal as I was so busy with the planning but also decided: "It's my day, I'm going to enjoy myself and feel like a princess and just embrace every, sexy curve!"
From the beginning, we were set on an outdoor wedding - a forest with a dam! After months of scouting around Cape Town, we found our hidden gem on the beautiful Solms-Delta Wine Farm in Franschhoek. In our pursuit of this, we wanted to create an atmosphere for everyone to feel relaxed and comfortable, and of course to have fun! Come rain or shine and with no plan B we were having our wedding under the open sky and with much faith, we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day.
Our look and theme was the same throughout the venue - rustic meets modern contemporary. An exquisite combo of raw wood tables, glass, wrought iron decor, leather couches and faux fur carpets. The simple black and white decor elements along with the lush deep-burgundy and rose-gold sprayed floral, was the perfect match against the natural green backdrop of the surrounding trees.
Our idea was for our guests to have a different experience in each area of the venue: from the tractor transfer on arrival to walking through, and exploring a beautiful bamboo forest to get to our secret ceremony area.
A picnic by the dam for pre-drinks and canapes, with blankets and benches laid out while being serenaded with some live music.
With our reception on an enclosed grass area, we were able to create a wedding full of everything we love in life: friends, family, braai, good music for guests to enjoy on a stunning black, high gloss dance floor reflecting a forest full of lights with yummy mini desserts topped off with the smell of nature all around!

My divas and divlets wore black (bridesmaids) and rose gold (MOH & flowergirls): infinity-style top with 3/4 tulle skirts while all rocking some comfy DIY glittered sneakers.
They looked absolutely gorgeous!
Danelle and Frits (fantastic couple) from ClayJar Photography made us feel extremely comfortable and captured all our favourite memories from our day. They were thorough, well-priced and we received our pics soon after our wedding.
Their impeccable service also included a beautiful coffee-table book which we LOVE!
We also used BrandRocket at our reception, the instagram photobooth was a HUGE hit! Olivia, owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with!
Just the two of us envisioning our perfect day made it that more special. We couldn't have pulled it off without our family and friends in helping create and setting up the day before our wedding!
On the day, I was lucky enough to have two amazing colleagues & friends make sure things ran smoothly (C-Below The Line).
The food was one of the most complimented elements of the wedding and we could not have chosen a better company to assist us! The talented Andre and Guy from Bertanja Catering along with their team worked endlessly to create a sensual experience for the taste buds!
From the paired canapes which included: mini, beef slider burgers and craft beer and spicy veg tacos, to the delicious gourmet buffet braai they put together (boasting a mouth-watering watermelon salad and the ever popular braai-brootjies) suited the atmosphere perfectly!
The unbelievable Gina Brits from FROSTED rescued us last minute with the most delicious chocolate cake with white frosting, leaving guests frothing at the mouth!
