The most memorable moment of our wedding day was when I walked down the aisle seeing my husband facial expression. Not only did I see the love in Chris's eyes but I could see he was proud to be standing in front ready to make one of the most important promise in his life. I will never forget that special moment.
We went to Langebaan for our honeymoon. We visited different locations which included Paternoster, Darling, Cape Town, Yzerfontein and Jacobs Bay.
I had my wedding dress made by Laura's Designs . Low back and my dress was covered in lace. The bridal satin was off white and the lace was white, the satin made the lace pop. I absolutely loved my dress.
My hair was in a semi up style, soft curls rested on my back.
My jewelry was simple, pearl earrings and a pearl bracelet. My bracelet was my husbands grandmother's pearl necklace. As a wedding gift from my hubby he used the necklace to make my bracelet. This was very special, this meant that she was part of our special day. My garter was also a very special part of my day. It had my grandmother's ruby ring, my mother's wedding bands and my mother-in-law elephant pendant stitched to it.
Our special day took place in Pretoria, Donkerhoek at Die Akker. The venue has a warm intimate feeling with a vintage look.
80% of our guests stayed over the night of the wedding at the following surrounding guesthouses, Silver Fig, Kamma Frans and Gecko Ridge.
My makeup artist was the amazing Cicilia Kaufman, and she actually told me to use a mask twice a week and a hydrating serum once a week. I bought my mud mask and serum from the Body Shop, and I can honestly say that I will keep on using these products, the are amazing for your skin.
The only thing that I changed regarding my diet was to cut out heavy starches like bread and pastas. I tried cutting my coffee intake and consuming more water. This really did wonders for my skin and my weight.
The venue where we got married had a romantic look to it. We had three long tables, with me and Chris sitting alone at the wedding table overlooking all our guests. Our tables had olive leaves, proteas, desert roses and candles. All our decor was done by the amazing Walter Clack.
Vanbower Studio's captured all our special moments. Not only did we feel extremely comfortable with their team, their work is absolutely exceptional.
My husband is not a big fan when it comes to dancing, so we had to go for some lessons. We met with Cathy from Simple Social Dance. She is such a lovely lady with so much passion when it comes to dancing.
We took 12 lessons. Our firts dance was the electrifying Argentine tango. The song we chose was Santa Maria.
