We first went to Faan's uncle's holiday home in Kleinmond which was very special, followed by a week and a half in Knysna at various cabins in the woods. We even camped for 2 nights.
I would say my wedding look was very simple and elegant. My hair was curled with a dainty baby's breath flower crown. I really felt like a princess. My wedding dress was made by a designer by the name of Chad Cairns. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he made it for me just as I wanted it. It had a long train and was very flowy so that I could frolick around easily. The bodice was Lacey and fitting with the bottom flowing out. My shoes were bought online from Lulu's. They were a nude colour and were "Harper" style. My jewelry and accessories were bought from Lovisa, Woollies and some were given as gifts.
We got married in Porterville, Western Cape. Our guests stayed at the venue : Laatson Onthale or at other guest houses in the area.
Decor was earthy and minimalistic. We used no flowers, only greenery. Our reception area was decorated with beautiful naked light bulbs, fairy lights and leafy chandeliers.
The groom and groomsmen wore tan Chino's from Old Khaki and Woolies. The groom wore a light blue shirt from Ben Sherman. His blazor was from Edgar's, and shoes from Woolies.
My bridesmaids dresses were also made by Chad Cairns. Each dress was dusty pink in colour, knee-length but all different styles. Each bridesmaid got to choose how they wanted their dress to look.

A local dj in Porterville did our music. And he did a great job - he really knew what he was doing. His name is Mike Engelbrecht.
