There were so many highlights of the day, but the most memorable moment for me was walking down the istle and seeing my hubby to be; everyone just faded away. What was interesting though was that the previous night I had the best sleep, I wasn't stressing at all and thought ok I'll start stressing on the actual day, but I didn't. It was great not stressing and just enjoying every moment with my "crew" before the ceremony.
We went to Kuta, Bali for the honeymoon. Hubby wanted to go somewhere not typical for honeymooners to go :) It was a great experience!
I wanted to go for a classy/classic and simplistic/natural look.
My wedding dress is a Maggie sottero dress. I first didn't want to try it on, but it ended up being the third dress I tried and that's where the dress hunting stopped :) ....As the dress was the "main" event with a special neckline, I had to take up my hair, but still wanted a soft flowing look (I added some gyp to add to the softness).
My jewellery for the day was also simplistic, with my earing a bit bigger so that they can still be seen though my hair. A sweet memory was when I opened my wedding gift from hubby, it was a Swarovski bracelet which did not exactly go with my other jewellery, but I wore it anyway :)
We got married at Glenburn Lodge Muldersdrift.
Our marriage officer was Alistair Westcott. He was truly excellent brining humour into the ceremony! We loved it, and we highly recommend him!
Our photographer was Nicolene Meyer and I highly recommend her! I absolutely love her photography style, and what a nice person! We opted not to have a photo booth as we had a caricature artist Alan Simpson who I also highly recommend. We gave this to the guests as guest favours and it was really a hit!
For the video we used Vlakvark Productions, they were also good.

There was no real transport, I walked over a hanging bridge :) So much fun!
For the ceremony we had an excellent cellist and a violinist and for the reception we had a DJ (Sonic State Productions) who was also great.
Hubby and I did not take dancing lessons for the first dance, we practiced it twice at home and hoped for the best. I think it came out good, but it was great fun anyway.
