It was truly a magical and memorable day for my husband and I. There are so many things that stood out for me but the ones I would never forget are:
• Walking down the aisle with my Dad
• The exchange of vows
• All the wonderful speeches from our dear friends and family.
• Opening the dance with my Dad
• First dance with my hubby
• The games that we played during the reception. Laughed really hard for this one!
• The surprise trip to Mauritius by my mom in law
• The entertainment provided by my bridesmaid, she did a Bollywood dance which I thoroughly enjoyed.
• And of course the after party!!
Yes, Mauritius. A wonderful surprise given to us by my mom in law
I really wanted to look like a princess on the day as it's the only day I ever get to wear a puffy dress..lol
The detail on my dress gave it a more vintage yet elegant look. The sleeves were lace and the beading on the dress was ivory which is the same colour as my wedding dress. From my waist downwards the dress has a beautiful flare. Purchased my dress from Bride and Co.
My makeup was done by a very talented artist in Port Elizabeth, Theano Zenios. She recommended I go with warm colours as it compliments my skin tone.
My hair is naturally curly so I love my curls therefore I went for bigger curls on the day.
Accessories were kept simple. I just had a pair of ear rings and a matching bracelet
Got married in Port Elizabeth at a breath taking venue called Lake De La Vie. All my guests had to fly into Port Elizabeth for the weekend and stay at various guests houses.
The decor was very simple. I went for a more clean yet romantic theme. White roses with lots of greenery incorporated into the table settings and bridal bouquet. Candles is what we used to create a romantic vibe.
Decor was done by Lynley Cusens - Floral creations and the hire warehouse
The groom wore a light blue three piece suit with brown shoes and black accessories. The groomsman wore a brown pants with white shirt and brown accessories.
