Doing my make up and hair was great fun and putting on my dress. Saying my vows and seeing my superman as I walked down the isle was supper sweet.
We did not go as yet
I wanted a simple yet classic, romantic and elegant look & feel. My theme was white gold and champagne. So we had gold tiffany chairs, white tables , clear under plates and champagne runners with white roses and vanilla scented candles as centre pieces at the reception.
For the main table it was a relaxed set up with gold couches for me and my hubby and the bridal party had white couched lounging area with gold scatter cushions and coffee tables.
Because the wedding was on Xmas eve I had a white Xmas tree. The matrimonial was outside with a white stretch tent by the river with a white carpet for the isle and re rose petals as my confetti.
My hair was an up do that was awesome because it was hot and make up we tried to keep it as natural as possible with bright lips off course.
I wore a dress from Imago bridal she was a white satin sweet heart neckline fit and flair with a bolerough for the matrimonial and a veil. I wore gold embellished platform heels and a white undergarments with silver stones embelishments and a gold and white gutter.
My jewellery was minimal I had a pair of tear drop earing and a tiara and that's it.
We got married at Kaydale country Lodge near Heidelberg/ Nigel. Some guests did stay the night at the venue.
After I had chosen my dress I had to maintain my weight so that meant I watched what I ate and every morning did a 30min home work out for my arms, abbs and bums cause I wanted to look good in the dress. I visited the dentist in November for my wash and that was it.
My décor was done by 4gees events and a brother from church did the draping. So everything from the furniture, lighting flowers and cutlery was done by them.
The groom wore a beige and black tuxedo with a white shirt, black shoes, belt and waist coat. The grooms men wore black slim fit suits with white shirts & champagne ties and pocket squares, and of course yellow pocker dot happy socks!!! All their things at Oriental Plaza Johannesburg.
My brides maids wore champagne flair dresses with white pearl lace tops, we had them tailor made by a local dress maker. They wore gold shoes and had pony tails on their hair.

I basically did most the planning with my hubby and family but on the day I had a coordinator.
My family prepared the food and the cake was made by Simon a local baker it tasted delicious.
Multi choice printers designed and did all the printing for all our stationary.
We had a DJ and for the dance part we did take lessons.
