After a week's play between the New York City lights, a romantic boat ride to "Lady Liberty" and late night "Time Square" excursions - I'm in a boat on "Central Park Lake" where Wian asks me to join him and reach for the future ... Who thought our wedding could be even more special than those engagement moments ...
... and then ... our big day ... December 16, 2017 ... St. Francis Bay ... Wian and Annemie ...
The hours before our wedding were colored with special messages, laughing with my bridesmaids and tears of joy together with my sweetest mom - everything with the sea as background music. The day became even more special when I received a gift from my prince - from air tickets to Mozambique (eventually I find out where we are going to have honeymoon), a Pandora see star as well as the most beautiful headband (although Wian actually hates the headband-thing) ...!
Wian, on the other hand, enjoyed a delicious breakfast with the dad's and friends and ended up having a nice boat trip through the canals of St Francis ... the men had such a good time and laughed so much that they almost forgot that the beautiful dark head Wian, have to wait for me at the altar.
With waves in the background, the white beaches lurking at us and our family and friends sitting on the beautiful green lawn, this is the most perfect and MOST beautiful place to get married ...
Then ... my prince and best friend Wian, standing under the white wedding arch ... his tears were clearly visible when I had a special pre-recorded message for him ... so I walked in the most beautiful dress down in the path with my dearest father ... My Wian's eyes drawing me closer every step ... After a brief and passionate service and the angel voices of Kaleidoskoop - we say the big "I DO's". Immediately afterwards, just like in a storybook, we jump into a nineteen something blue and white VW combi to go and take pictures ...
First at Point Vineyard where we went to play with our best friends among the vineyards. Immediately afterwards we went to the rocks at "Sunset Rock" where Wian asked me out a few years ago. Here we just could not get enough of each other - while the photographer steals a picture or two in between.
As the sun shares its last rays for the day, we took the road back to our beautiful reception hall. Glossy faces with starlights greet us between the trees, also Kaleidoskoop playing one of our favorite songs "Vars Uitgekerf" in the background. The moment is irreplaceable ... it was breathtaking. Now it is time to go to our reception hall full of natural wood, white decor and millions of fairy lights. Every moment was just as special as the previous one. With humorous speeches full of love, our first dance on Ellie Goulding's "Love me like you do", and Wian's words to me "I'm just a normal man until you're with me ... then I'm better" was the day we will cherish forever. It was our best day EVER. Our wedding was perfect ...!
