There are truly too many memorable moments to comment on right here, but by far the few moments that clearly stand out are walking down the aisle with my father and seeing my handsome husband with the biggest smile on his face, and when we both recited our vows and said 'I Do' to each other. Not only because it finally meant that we were now one, but also because it all of a sudden felt like there were no more stresses in the world.
And then our first dance, even though he stepped on my dress a few times, even though his second left foot made an appearance a few times. It was as if the world around us was completely absent we just looked and dreamed into each other's eyes, and I could tell that both of us were just content with life and with the prospect of our futures together.
We always planned to depart for our honeymoon the morning after the wedding, but according to me we would be going to the Zimbali Resort in Durban. Little did I know, that when we rocked up at the airport on Sunday morning that we were actually going to Mauritius. I was completely stunned and surprised, but it was amazing. I always dreamed of going to Mauritius and when better to go there than on your honeymoon. It was so romantic and the Beachcomber le Cannonier Resort which we stayed at was beautiful. I loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back there in the future - once we've recovered from all the wedding expenses ;)
We got married at the Cassia Restaurant Function Venue at the Nitida Wine Farm in Durbanville Hills. The venue was absolutely breathtaking and not even the wind on the day could take away from the beauty of the venue.
We had both the ceremony and the reception on the wine farm, which was really nice because it helped a lot with the time management and we were able to have the outdoor wedding that we always dreamed of. The reception itself was in a completely glass function venue overlooking the dam and vineyards at Nitida Wine Farm, which looked absolutely stunning.

The groom was dressed by ZED Menswear with a 3-piece suit, white shirt and an off white tie. He kept it traditional and wore black and white.
The groomsmen were kitted out with customised grey waistcoats, white shirts and black formal pants made by one of the stylists from blue collar white collar.
Our marriage officer was Dino Cicatello, a Pastor from View Church in Table View. We chose him because he had been a good friend to both of us for many years, and both of us knew him from when we attended school as well. He gave a beautiful and concise message and eased both myself and my husband through the process of getting married.
The photography and videography was coordinated by the amazing team from Pie in the Sky Multimedia.
They were awesome, we all felt completely natural in front of them and they ensured that the whole process was seamless.
The food was prepared by the venue itself. We had a plated starter, with a buffet main course and dessert.
Our wedding cake was made by Candice Klue from Sweet Klues in Table View. We chose an elegant three tiered cake with the base and top tiers being a chocolate mocca flavour, and the middle tier being vanilla. The fondant matched our weddings colour scheme, as the bottom and top tiers were white and the middle tier was a light grey/silver.
My mom has been crafting for fun her whole life and she kindly offered to assist with all the stationery (save the dates, invitations, menus, place cards, thank you cards) for our special day.
Everything looked absolutely stunning, and I couldn't have wished for anyone else to do it.
My husband will be the first to admit that he has two left feet, so going for dancing lessons was definitely a priority (even though we left it fairly late). We took individual dancing lessons at the Jaques Carstens Dance Studio in Bellville, and learnt how to put a pretty decent foxtrot together for our first dance.
After dancing to All of Me by John Legend for our first dance, the DJ from Pie in the Sky Multimedia really lit up the dance floor and kept everyone partying throughout the night.
We pride ourselves in giving every bride a truly unique and intimate fitting experience.
