Elton and my mother arranged a surprise engagement at sea. It is almost the exact spot we first kissed 8 years ago. My friends were in on it and we took a "walk" to the beach, unknowing what was awaiting for me at the beach. When I crossed the road there was a big sign put up with the wording
"Vicky will you marry me?"
And elton was below on the beach on his knees with the ring in his hands surrounded by fairylights with the sunsets as our background. He aswell as I was overcome with so much emotions as he went on one knee and asked the question. Without a doubt my answer was Yes. We celebrated the night away with family and friends celebrating the news and what was To come
8years ago my friend arranged a "date" with my now to be husband. The dae never happened but we did manage toe connect on Mxit. We instantly clicked. We chatted and phoned for more than a month (due to my matrick exams) but the day we met, everything fell in place. I knew he was the one for me.
There were so many "high's" of the day, but if I must choose ; the most memorable was seeing my husband filled with so much emotion when I was coming down the aisle. Also seeing our daughter and the love they share was truley special.
The other element was definitely the Nissan V6 bakkies that was also part of our transport of the day. There was about 15-19 bakkies that later entertained the guests with a show of their own.
The look I was going for would definitely be natural (make-up) classy and elegant . My earings were from forever new and my imaani shoes from spree walked me down the aisle. My gorgeous dress was from Bridal Allure.

We had an beach wedding overlooking the ocean of my home town, Port Nolloth. The church sermon took place in McDougall's By on the private estate of Kai-Kai
The reception was held in town. the décor was a mix of beach and bling elements with elegant draping and beautiful floral designs.
The whole stile and inspiration of our wedding go's back to where we met and got engaged. We wanted something different, but also very classy.The reception had elements of beach mixed with classy drapings, chandeliers and beautiful floral design.Aunty Ria Smith truly outdone herself at the reception venue. We had beautiful wingback chairs and furniture to compliment the reception.
Flowers : Anneline van Wyk from Undulata Lodge was amazing with her creations.
My husband was so handsome in a charcoal suit and the groomsmen were dressed in royal blue suits, to match the wedding colors, white shirts and bow ties. They found brown shoes to match their suits perfectly.
Our bridesmaids were dressed in elegant, flowy dresses that were made locally in springbok. Each of the ladies choose their own design on top. It matched the outdoor theme well. Their Gold shoes, from spree, completed the look

Our photographer was Landi Groenewald from Organictales Photography. She was such a pleasure to work with. She is such a professional and blessed us with beautiful photographs of our day. Her work is phenomenal.
I planned, organize and did our own budget for our wedding, it was a lot of stress but everything worked out so nicely and fell into place on the day.
My husband is a Nissan V6 fanatic and also belongs to a V6 Club (Namakwa Dust makers) so it was such a privilege to have is group of friends, together with the Namibian V6 Group, join in to be the transport of the day. It was something very different and was definitely one of the WOW factors of the day. We drove in a beautiful Blue BMW whilst the wedding party each drove in A Nissan V6 Bakkie.
Elton's aunt was the Chef of the day and made sure every one was happily fed. The food was such a delight and tasted so nice. The menu included an assortment of food including stuffed rolled lamb ribs, braised lamb, chicken Gordon bleu, 3 different salads, warm potato salad , rice and an array of deserts.
Wedding cake : The cake was a stunner. WOW !! Tannie Hanlie Roux made and delivered my cake to perfection.
I decided to do all my stationery myself and saved a buck or two.
We were pleasently entertained with songs by my nephews (Michael Bowls and Ashvill Cloete) both at the ceremony and reception.
We had a live band from Vredenburg (Public Attention). They did such a great job with the music and sound at reception.
