He cried! He balled his eyes out as soon as he saw me at the end of the aisle! This hunk of a man was so emotional it made me realize how much this entire experience meant to him and most of all how much I meant to him.
There was a moment where we looked at each other during the ceremony and it made my heart melt. I am so in love with this man but at that moment when our eyes met during the ceremony I could tell this day was meant to be.
Seeing my parents and our guests having so much fun really brought joy to our hearts. It made the entire celebration so special. We really did have fun and as for the throwing of the bouquet...my 13 year old cousin caught it!! My father stopped everything and immediately demanded I re-throw it while sternly telling her to sit down. We laughed and made good fun of it.
The cherry on the cake for my highlights is while making the toast, we realized the non-alcoholic champagne that my father and husband bought TOGETHER...actually had alcohol in it. Wow. We had to quickly get on the mic and tell people not to drink the champagne sadly some already did but understood that it was a mistake. Way to go guys...
Of course we honeymooned! and in style! We travelled to the one place best known for it's beaches in November...Thailand!
We had the time of our lives, soaking up the sun on the crystal clear beaches and of course, getting our instagram haters up to date with every crazy thing we did. We did 10 days in Thailand staying in Phuket, Krabi and our favourite island of all Phi Phi where we kayaked, snorkeled and even did some speed boat tours of the islands. It was amazing the trip gave us time to solidify our bond and really become one. We embraced every moment together and it felt like we really fell in love with each other all over again. Our honeymoon was the most romantic thing I have ever experienced.
We struggled for months trying to find a good venue but when we found Valverde Eco Hotel it was not just good it was amazing! We got married at the Muldersdrift venue in their magnificent garden which bloomed with white roses and all sorts of beautiful flowers that set this romantic and elegant theme that really represented what we in-visioned for our perfect wedding. Our guests did stay the night they partied HARD! and stayed at the same venue which was good since the partying went late into the hours of the morning.
