Having friends and family come from near and far to celebrate us and our commitment to each other was very special.
Yes we did! I travel a lot for work so I didn't want to travel too far for honeymoon. my husband surprised me with a trip to Vilanculos where we had our own private villa! The villa was overlooking the turquoise sea and was simply spectacular!
I wanted to go for a soft, romantic look. My Mom and I had a girls trip planned to New York. When we were there we decided to do a bit of wedding shopping and that's where I found my beautiful dress, shoes and some of the accessories. I borrowed the jewellery from my Mom. My make up was done by the ever so talented Cicilia Kauffman (CK Make-up for all occasions) and my hair done by Liesl
I got married at Tintswalo @ Waterfall. A few guests stayed the night.

I didn't fuss too much with a beauty regime. My skin is ultra sensitive so I stuck to my Clarins day and night cream. I thought id be motivated to gym hard and tone up well but I did what I could and didn't over exert myself.
I wanted my bridemaids to feel comfortable and beautiful! We went to The Maiden in Centurion for their dresses where they chose their own style. The only requirement I had was that the dresses must be long.
Maartje Van der Westhuizen was our marriage officer and she did a superb job of marrying us. The ceremony was very special.
Our awesome photographer was Angelique Smith. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. When we had specific shots in mind nothing was too much to ask of her! A breath of fresh air in the chaos of the day!
I was adamant that I could plan my own day but when quotes started coming through on the costs of things I had a wobbly. In stepped Julian Katz of The Exceptional Company and took all our visions and turned them into a reality.
All our design and printing was done by Freya stationary.
I didn't take dance lessons- just winged it! Sound and lighting was done by Prelude entertainment.
