Saying my vows to my best friend, my husband, was the highlight of the day for me. Seeing him standing in the front of the chapel when the doors opened gave me goosebumps! The day as a whole was simply out of this world! A real life fairytale.
We’re leaving on the 1st January to Phuket, Thailand!
I’m a Plain Jane, I went for a lace dress with a low back which I got from Blushing Bride Designs in Port Elizabeth. I wore Sandles because I’m all about comfort! My hair was done at the best salon in Port Elizabeth, Nouvo! And my make up was absolutely perfectly done by Lindsey Bergsman!
We got married at the most amazing venue, La Colline. It has a view of the whole of Port Elizabeth and is absolutely stunning at night! The Chapel, with stacker doors opening onto a wooden deck which overlooks a koi pond is absolutely breathtaking!
I wanted a very natural look, most of my decor consisted of flowers(a fynbos combination) which were the table runners for the banquet style tables. A rustic effect with a touch of silver.
The groom wore a light navy suit which he got from Woolworths, with a black bow tie. The groomsmen’s suits were hired from Heinz In Style. They were dark grey with an added slim black tie.
My bridesmaids wore knee length mint green dresses, with a gold thin belt and lace detail on the dress! I loved the simple, yet stunning look!
Reverend Warren Watermeyer! He was AMAZING! Down to earth, yet speaking about very valuable things at the same time!
Nina Claasen Lifestyle Photographer! WOW is all I can say about her! If your looking for someone to capture your big day, who is more than just a photographer, but someone who captures the natural moments of the day in detail too, then look no further! She’s so talented!
Me, myself and I ;)
Brand new white Land Rover (heart eyed face) it was amazing!!!
On site caterer at the venue. The food was to die for! Pastryworks did my cake, which consisted of sheet cakes (carrot and chocolate mousse) it was plated and served with cream as the dessert. For the cake to cut, I went for a simple small naked cake, and added roses and flowers to it, and topped it with a personalized cake topper.
A number of places, Carved Unlimited designed and made my cake topper. Godspeed Trading made my guest book, and I made the serviette rings. The hanging welcome sign was made by Bloom Creative Design.
We didn’t have dance lessons and we got a DJ to do music for the evening. During the canapés which were the starters, we had Dale Jacobs sing live. He is just great!
