Most memorable moment of my day was when Wayne came and prayed for us just before the Ceremony, it was very special. Also the moment when I walked down the aisle as I knew from this moment I will share my life with my best friend and love of my life till death do us part.
We went to Cape Town for seven days. The first three nights we decided together to stay in Camps Bay which was absolutely amazing. The next two nights I picked a location which was of course in the romantic town of Franschoek, we did a fine dining the first night at Roca restaurant and watched one of the most beautiful sunsets. The following day we did the wine tram, which I really suggest for everyone who stops in this amazing little town. He did not know about the plans and therefore the next two nights was his surprise to me. He treated me to a luxurious stay at the Spier wine farm where we stayed in the Hotel on the farm. We did a spa day, relaxing at the pool, had very good wine throughout our entire honeymoon and had some of the most delicious foods. Our honeymoon was very special as everything we did was together and we had time together to create special moments.
The look I went for was simple yet elegant. The hair and make-up was done by "Make-up by Candice" which suited my personality perfectly. My wedding dress was the most beautiful clothing item that I have ever worn and owned, it was comfortable and very stylish. I was also able to show some skin, but in a classy way. The shoes were an absolute delight to wear as I had no need to change them during the night, they had quit a thick heel, which made moving around a lot easier. The lingerie, jewellery and accessories were also simple, but complimented the dress just enough as to not take away the perfection of the dress.
We got married at Lace on Timber just outside of Pretoria. It is one of the most magnificent and beautiful venues that I have ever seen. The venue does have accommodation available on the premises and allowed 22 people to stay over which was some of our closes friends and family. Some of our guests stayed at places in the surrounding area, which allowed most of our guests not to travel to far back home.
About three to four months before the wedding I started with facials every four weeks and exfoliated my skin daily. The fitness is something that I do every day so it just forms part of my daily routine, however I did have an eye out for certain carbs which I was eating. This just ensured that I will not have a bloated tummy on my special day. And if I can give anyone advice, cream is your friend and should be used after every shower and also in the mornings before your day starts.
The groom wore a navy suit with a blue polka dotted tie, brown shoes and a white collar shirt. The groomsmen wore a light blue shirt, navy pants and a polka dotted Bow tie. All these outfit were bought at Woolworths in the David Jones section. The watch of the groom was given to him from me as a wedding gift as it is something small to remember our special day by.
The bridesmaids wore dresses from Gelique. The dress I chose was the Annabell dress in duck egg blue, which is perfect for any body type. The dresses had a bow tied at the back to emphasize the mid line and to break the long elegant dress.

Our marriage officer was a very special and dear friend to me and my husband. We have walked a spiritual journey with Henk and his wife for almost over a year. He made our day a lot more special and personal to us. The ceremony was one of my special moments as he made sure the preach would always be with us.
Splendid productions was our photographer for the day, and boy did she capture a lot of special moments. Where does one begin to describe Heleen and her husband? They are fun and innovative people, they make you feel comfortable and it felt like we have known them as friends for years. Heleen definitely has an eye for new and different moments. Not one of our photos can be compared to other weddings which she has done, as every wedding to her creates it's own moments. They adapt to the vibe and the people. I would definitely recommend them to anyone whom seeks something unique, different and most definitely spontaneous.
Yes we had a coordinator at the venue. Jeanel, one of the owners of the venue was surely a lot of help on that day. She definitely made sure everything was ready and perfect in time.
We did not have any transport as everything at the venue was within walking distance, from the bridal room to the chapel, from the chapel to the reception etc.
Th venue provided the food on our special day, and it was surely absolutely delicious. Everyone had something good to say about the food. This however makes one realize in order to have a great party, you need good food, good people, good music and of course a lot of good wine. Our wedding cake was also done by a friend, Pieter. It was a naked carrot cake covered in caramel sauce with beautiful white flowers on top. The cake was amazing and the only complaints that I had was that it was not enough.
Our stationary was done by Liefling kind designs, which I came across on Facebook. Colleen is one special person to work with, her work was always on time and absolutely beautiful. She definitely made sure that all the stationary was exactly what we have envisioned.
Yes we did take dance lessons, but it was part of the build up of the entire wedding. Both of us could dance before, so we tough, but the lessons was surely something to remember. Some days I laughed so hard my stomach cramped and this made everything more relaxed and special. The sound and lightning was provided by our Dj from Blast. We also had the live band "n pel van my" to entertain our guests while we took photos and they had some canapes.
