Our wedding day was breath taking, there was so much special moments! My husband waiting down the aisle was a highlight of my day, tears of happiness and joy we shared. All the family and friends that travelled and made the day extra special!
Yes, we went to Zanzibar. Spent two days exploring Stone Town and then headed for the Resort to relax,
sun, sea and cocktails.
My makeup and hair was done by a hairdresser from my home town, she travelled the extra mile to make me look and feel beautiful on my big day. Facebook: Lindie Make-up Artist & Hair Stylist.
I purchased my dress from Bride&Co, I went for a simple look with the lady like lace on the top. My Mother in law, surprised me with a gift for something blue on my wedding day, fine rose gold bracelet with blue diamond detail in the centre and my husband surprised me with a new wedding ring while saying our vows.
Our wedding took place at 'Cathedral Peak Wine Estate'. The guests had to travel and made a weekend outing of our wedding weekend in the lovely Drakensburg.
My Maid of Honour spoilt me with a spa day at Mangwanani Spa, massages and facials was well needed before the big day. I controlled my diet by eating right and staying away from chocolates two months before for our wedding. I purchased teeth whitening products and used it weekly two months before the wedding. I made my appointments well in advance for my trails, makeup, hair and nails.
The outdoor ceremony set up had been one of the most important requirements while looking for a venue, we had decided on Cathedral Peak Wine Estate because of the beautiful vineyards and the mountains back drop. The white tiffany chairs was a nice touch it went well with the greenery. We rented wooden under plates and rose gold cutlery for an extra touch.
The groom wore a navy blue suit with a white buttoned up shirt and maroon bow tie, purchased at Woolworths.
Groomsmen wore grey pants, white shirts and grey suspenders, a casual look and suited the hole set up well.
Purchased at Woolworths.
The navy blue dresses matched the grooms suit. The infinity rap dresses can be worn in many ways which made each girl feel comfortable in their own way. The dresses can be worn on other occasions, which made it a practical decision. The navy blue stood out on the photos with the greenery background.

Caren Smith from Cathedral Peak Wine Estate assisted with the planning, she did an amazing job I was extremely happy with how everything turned out!
My dad arranged a helicopter to fly me to the ceremony, was such a special moment. I was so surprised when I saw my ride:)
Kristy Buchanan 'CBK Catering' made delicious food and cake for our wedding, all the guests complemented her dishes. We decided on a cheese cake rather than a traditional cake, we used the different cheeses for canapés and it worked out great.
The party was loads of fun, we danced the night away with all the guests. 'Thys Audio Jocks DJ' did the music and lighting.
Yes we did attend dance classes for our first dance, we felt so special to open the dance floor while all the guests watched us move across the dance floor and applause when we were done:)
