I spent months planning our perfect day and it was honestly the best day of my life and I would re live it in a heartbeat if i could. It threatened to rain but instead we got magical light with pretty clouds.
We had the best time. Although Riaan and I made sure we spent as much time together as we could throughout the day there was of course a constant buzz of friends, family and photographers around us. Come the wedding night we stayed up with friends until 04h30 the next morning. But waking up next to my husband was so nice and sharing just sharing our special moments we had.
I have two magical moments I just have to share -The wedding aspect I was most nervous about was the ceremony and it ended up being my absolute favorite part of our wedding day. As I walked down the aisle I could not stop crying, just seeing Riaan standing on the other end knowing that is the man I chose and who chose me to spend the rest of our lives together made me burst into tears. Then the other is when I said my vows - thinking about it still makes me want to cry now!
We absolutely love Thailand!!! We got engaged there October last year and just had to go back to celebrate the amazing promise we have made to each other. We stayed in a breathtaking resort called Sala Samui resort that is situated in Koh Samui where we sat up talking for hours about our favorite parts of our wedding day and how pleased we were with how well it went and not wanting the day to end.
We got married at Netherwood which is a contemporary wedding venue located on a working farm in Nottingham Road in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands. Netherwood is the perfect wedding location and the surroundings are just stunning! It is lovely to wake up to a beautiful sunrise and watching the cows grazing in the fields.
Health is wealth- through all the wedding planning and working daily I just focused on eating healthy and ensured that I went to the gym where possible.
The decor and all that made up the perfect wedding was soft, romantic and filled with candlelight. The absolute fairy tale I was always dreaming of.
The groom was very classy and outgoing with a bright pink suit and the groomsmen toned it down with stylish pink trousers with a white shirt and red bowtie to finish off their look.
Black, all black and my maid of honour - Donald wore a stylish black suit to fit right in.
We officially got married on the Friday by Dennis who is a pastor and then my husbands best friend conducted the ceremony on the Saturday.
Our photographer was Carla and Hayden Brown of Kallah Ohr - they are just amazing and made us feel so comfortable through all the different stages and we were very lucky to get White Motion Films to shoot our video.
I planned and cordinated the whole wedding by myself with some help from friends and family on the day just to make sure all is in place.
Food Matters took care of all the catering and put together an amazing spread at the harvest table that accompanied our cheese stack wedding cake.
