We went to Zanzibar - Uroa Bay beach resort.
We went for 12 days so we could do an activity the one day and rest and drink cocktails alongside the pool and beach the next day. It is a fantastic place and the culture is very interesting. So many things to do and see in Zanzibar like swim with the dolphins, snorkel, feed massive turtles, go see the history, go on extreme adventures, ect.. Also note that you are only aloud to swim around Bill gates island and not go onto it or you will be fined.
I bought my Nodeca Samira wedding dress at Olivelli in Port Elizabeth . I also bought my long cathedral veil there. The owner Shelley helped me allot and made me feel at ease. She also gave me a sowing container for when a button falls off on the day and a booklet telling me what to eat and what not to eat and do before the wedding. This was so sweet for me, she really made me feel special.
My hair was an upstyle rough bun done by the owner at Sassi hair salon in Port Elizabeth. She and her sister works together, with her sister being the make up artist who also did my make up. She only uses mac products and i loved their product on my face. They made everyone feel so calm, because you could see that they knew what they were doing and they did. They did all of my bridesmaids, mother in law and my mothers hair and make up.
My shoes i bought at aldo. It was beige with only to straps. I think it was a 5cm heel. I am so lucky to have a tall husband because i can wear high heels and still be shorter then him.
I could not wear any lingerie under my dress a it was a tight dress and would show the lingerie lines. The trouble we have to go through to look wonderful haha.
My earnings was round crystal studs. I wore my mothers blue tanzanite bracelet. ( Something Borrowed and Blue).

I only started training 5 times a week a month before the wedding. I got my goal for how i wanted to fit and look in my dress. I ate very healthy in the month as well, here and there a few cheat meals i just could not resist.
I went to the Beauty Lounge in Hartenbos Seefront in the Western Cape to have a weekly facial and a massage to calm the wedding stress. They also did my beautyfull French blended manicure nails, they waxed me for the big day and honeymoon and gave me healthy skin and body tips.
We had a bunch of flowers in a circle on each table with 3 clear candle holders with candles on it in the middle of the circle with flowers. The flowers was colours between white and red. The bridal table was a 6 seater and had 3 long bunches of flowers along side the far end of your table, also with the clear candle holders in between. We also had fairy lights between our flowers. We had a beautiful backdrop of glitter curtain and fairy lights in front of it. The hall at Lake De La Vie is quite big so it was nice to have some space between the tables for our guests to walk and lost of dance space. The guest tables was all round with silver cutlery and under plates.
The groom (Husband) wore a Navy suite from Euro Suite, a maroon tie from H&M and white shirt and brown shoes from Woolworth.
The Grooms men wore a Navy chino and a white shirt from Woolworth, we also got them each a maroon tie and had to wear a brown belt and brown shoes to match the groom.
The bridesmaids wore maroon infinity dresses that we got from BrideZilla in Port Elizabeth. We got it so that they can wear it again when they want. It is such stunning dresses and can wear them so many times in so many different ways.
We used SpherePhotograpic from Port Elizabeth, they are a husband and wife who take the photos together in order for them to get 2 different angles from one pose. They are the loveliest people and make you feel at ease and helps you to get the best photos. They know what they are doing and definitely does it good.
Our video photographer was Igala Productions. They helped us to to capture our special day and can look at it everyday to remind us how wonderful it was. Also very friendly people and would love to have them take some videos for us in the future again.
We made use of a photo booth. This is a great thing to have at a wedding. The guests always enjoy themself s and also have some funny photos of them in well dresses clothing.
We did not make use of our own planner as the people at the wedding venue at Lake De La Vie made everything easy for us and was there the whole night to help us if we or anybody needed anything.
For the wedding itself me and my Husband arranged everything on our own, of course with the help of our family. If you start early enough there is no wedding stress at the end of the day.
I come from a farm in Alicedale and my Husband from a farm in Douglas. We made use of my fathers Land Crouser dubble cab. We love the look it had and could drive in the estate after the game for our photos as well. We are farm people and love nature.
My friends mother made us our wedding cake. It was a red velvet cake covered in white icing and a few flowers around and on top of it. Our theme colour was maroon and was so nice to cut the cake and get that red velvet (maroon) look.
Blitsdruk from Mosselbay did all of our stationary. They are very creative and makes you everything you want without any questions. Very professional and has good prices for the wedding stationary and design.
We had a DJ ,Music that moves you, from Port Elizabeth who did our music and sound in the chapel and the venue. The also give you the best advise and also gives you what you want without any questions asked. They make certain of all the music you want and confirms everything with you within the week of your wedding.
