It was such a beautiful day, there were so many highlights! From walking down the aisle and seeing my Groom, to saying our vows and committing to each other for the rest of our days. To walking into our reception to the tune of 'I believe in a thing called love' by The Darkness with all the love and smiles that greeted us. The food was phenomenal. The dance with my dad, to a song that has so much meaning to both of us. And the best party of our lives. So many happy memories!
We spend 5 days on board the MSC Sinfonia. I was such am amazing experience!
My wedding look was quite natural and simple. My bridesmaids and I had peach roses in our hair. We spent the morning in a salon being treated like princesses and having our hair and make up done with a glass of champagne. My dress had a slight vintage style and a lace overlay. I had pearl earrings and a bracelet.
Our ceremony was at at beautiful Norwegian Settlers Chapel that seats 70 people. And we had our reception at a new local fusion food restaurant. Most of our guests did not have to travel too far or stay over, so it was really convenient for everyone.
Other than keeping healthy and fit, I didn't do anything out of the ordinary leading up to the wedding.. My groom fell in love with me just how I am so I didn't want to change too much! :-)
We took a minimalist approach to decor, because the reception venue was absolutely stunning as it is.. The whole restaurant with all the tables, chairs and light fittings etc were hand made by a local trade skills centre and we just love the look and feel of it as it is. Our colour scheme was Navy and Peach floral, with Gold touches. So we had long tables of 10 and each table had a line in the middle of penny gum, peach roses and candles. They had a fireplace which was lit and gave a stunning warm ambience to the room.
All the groomsmen wore beige chinos with white cotton shirts. We had custom made bow ties made for the groomsmen and a matching tie for the groom. The groom also whore and navy blazer.
My two sisters were my bridesmaids, the both wore navy maxi dresses with a peach shawl, which picked up so nicely with the outfits for the groomsmen.
Our local Pastor, Trevor Downham
Tammy McCarter from Little Things was or photographer. She absolutely blew us away! She went above and beyond to capture every single moment of our special day and her photos are something we will treasure forever.
We didn't have a planner, so hubby and I had loads of fun planning our special day. We did have a few special friends who helped so much to set up and make sure every ran smoothly.
Because we had our reception at a restaurant, they did the catering. the food was stunning and the service was fantastic as well, I could not fault them on anything. they went above and beyond to make our reception amazing.
My sister made our wedding cake, which so special for us! She really outdid herself and it was beautiful and delicious!
We used Greenvelopes. We chose our own template and had so much fun designing our e-vite.
