We had a beautiful Hindu ceremony mixed with a more modern English wedding twist. 70% of our guest flew down from Durban to celebrate this special occasion with us. We had one colourful wedding and it was absolutely amazing how two cultures became one :)
We invested all the money received at our wedding to furnish our new home. Our honeymoon was at our own little hotel at home :)
I had a very modern Hindu Lengha that i designed myself. My dress was champagne gold and full of sequencing and glitter....like a real Indian Princess :) I twisted my ankle a week before my wedding so i had a round heels (so fashionable now) on only for the pictures then had my flats on. My jewellery was big and sparkly and my lingerie.....well thats for my ONLY Husband to know lol
We got married at Nitida Wine Farm in Durbanville, Cape Town. We had the venue till 12 and guest left thereafter.
I was in bed with a twisted ankle a week before my wedding :( i survived off smoothies for a week to fit into my two piece wedding dress.
Our decor was very modern, rose gold everywhere. Our wedding stage was OUT OF THIS WORLD with the lake and trees in the background. We had beautiful flowers on every table as the main table decor.
Groom wore a Fabiani suite and groomsmen hired their suites. Each wore matching wooden cufflinks with the date as well as matching socks.
My bridesmaids wore Lenghas - we shopped the whole Durban to find the perfect colour and look to complement each and every one of their skin tones. They each wore a sparkly headpiece and lots of mendi/henna tattoos on their arms.
We had a marriage officer refereed to us. Most friendly God fearing guy i know. A Guru held our ceremony on the day.
We had a photographer (Elri Photography - Small town chick that loves cultural weddings), we had a videographer and a drone following us. Paparazzi i tell you.
I was my own planner but my Mother in law was my right hand man.
My Husband has a transport company called "Cape Town Party Bus", so our guest were transported to the venue and after party safely.
My food was catered by the venue and my cake was made by a talented young lady by the name of Taahirah (The Cake Jar).
Cards by Nadia.
We had a whole dance routine and then i twisted my ankle a week before my wedding (can you imagine how the dance ended up looking). Our DJ was a known Galaxy DJ and assisted with lighting too.
