When my dad and I entered the Chapel there was a soft wind blowing through and I could feel the Holy Spirit entering the Chapel. I was calm the entire time and I couldn't wait to get married to the man of my dreams, when we saw each other for the first time that day something magical happened and it felt as if all the butterflies in my stomach left and entered the Chapel. We had communion to symbolize two people becoming one and that was very special.
Yes, he kept the location a surprise the entire time,and 20 km before we entered St Lucia I realized for the first time where we were going. It was a very special honeymoon and the memories would be engraved in my heart forever.
I wanted something very natural and the make-up artist and hair dresser met my requirements. My jewellery was very special as it was my sisters jewellery which she wore on her wedding day, it was my something borrowed for the day.
Diamond Hill - Rayton. No the guests didn't stay the night, but accomodation was available in a 10 km radius.
I made sure to drink a lot of water so that my skin can stay hydrated, I'm not really into fitness so I didn't really do anything extra regarding fitness leading up to the wedding. I visited the salons and spa a couple of times before the wedding.
The decor and flowers was minimal and that's how we wanted it from the beginning, we used succulents,gip and wooden decor and it all came together beautifully. The venue had fairy lights which they draped from the roof, it gave a very romantic feeling towards our wedding,and lots of candles.
The groom wore a navy blue suit pants from Polo, a white button up shirt and blue tie, the groomsmen wore Chino pants and a white button up shirt and blue ties. We got the clothing from Mistrys in Middelburg.
The bridesmaids wore dresses which were custom made by Gelique, the dress style was Annabel and each bridesmaid wore a different colour- Olive green, Navy blue and Plum, those colours were beautiful together.
