We had the most wonderful and perfect wedding, and there was a lot of laughing! My husband forgot our rings... Luckilly he realised it an hour before our ceremony began. My father-in-law and my husband's uncle drove to Pretoria to get the rings and they arrived just in time with our rings. Luckilly they didn't tell me about the rings while I was getting ready. Our car for the wedding was a 1940 Ford. On the way to the venue the car broke with me... Luckilly the company had a replacement car and I arrived 20 minutes late. What an experience!!!
We went to Langebaan in the Western Cape.
We bought my gorgeous dress at Bride&co and I wore a pearl necklace and bracelet that I received from my husband on my birthday two days prior to our wedding. Jeanri Bolleurs from JB Make-up Artist and Studio did my make-up and she has an absolute talent!
We got married at Victorian Manor - a BEAUTIFUL venue in Cullinan.
I drank enough water, had four tanning sessions and I had a strict cleansing regimen for my face.
I believe that less is more. My mom and I decided to use leaves as a main decorating theme and we added white and purple roses with gyp into the mix. Butterflies were also part of the theme. Purple was our main colour.
We hired my husband's suit and the groomsmen's outfits at Eurosuit. They also wore suspenders for a touch of class and elegance.
Jomari van der Berg who owns Mimie made my bridesmaids' and flowergirls' dresses. The dresses came out EXACTLY the way I wanted it to and they were stunning!
Ds. André Thomas was our marriage officer and he was perfect!
Felicia from Picture It Photography was an exceptional photographer. She made us feel even more relaxed on our special day. Dirk from Dirk Theron Productions was our videographer. He was very professional and he delivered beautiful results. We made use of a photobooth and we have a lot of fun photos with our guests!
We did not have a wedding planner. Me, my husband, my mom and mother-in-law arranged everything ourselves. Our bridesmaids and groomsmen also helped a lot.
We had a 1940 Ford. I loved the look and the elegance of our car! It was something else.
Victorian Manor prepared our five course meal. The food was delicious!!! Jean-Mari Jacobs from Eat-Cake-Love made our chocolate cake with vanilla, chocolate and red velvet cupcakes. There's only one word to describe her cakes - YUMMY!
Mari Sephton and Lulu from Studioworks designed and printed all of our stationary. I really could not have asked for anything better. Our stationary was classy and gorgeous.
