Yes, we spent a magical 7 Days in the absolutely breath taking Zanzibar Island and stayed at the Beautiful Uroa Bay Beach Resort. Where the management and staff were so welcoming and pleasant from the moment we arrived on the Island to the moment we had to sadly depart. sipping cocktails tanning (way to much) and indulging in the Swahili cuisine and culture.
The look I created was inspired by the one and only PARIS as my hubby proposed to me on the 6th February 2016 in the Beautiful City of Love. With a detailed bodice, with pearls and crystals created that sophisticated elegant Modern French look
My hair had been done by a close friend of mine Melissa Weeks from Bobs & Beehives in Boksburg I had been once again inspired by the french beauty and the vintage "French Plat" came to mind. The sides were done in an outside French Plat and tied up into loose curls in a semi french plate.
My Make Up had been done by Criszeldi from Yolanda Bedeker in Pretoria. I still kept with a "lady Like" french style however went a little bolder around the eyes and added Rose Gold to blend in with the wedding colours also went a neutral colour on my lips.
We said our "I do's" at the Beautiful Chez Charlene in Pretoria which boosts some beautiful water features
stables and some breath taking greenery which create such an amazing backdrop for our photos
The staff at Chez Charlene ensured all my guests were full taken care throughout the evening and they were all so helpful especially Andries who took care of myself and my hubby all night, the food was absolutely spectacular we were all in food commons they whole evening and all my guest had only good things to say and so did my family and myself and my hubby
Some of our guests were able to stay as the venue only provides accommodation for the Best Man & Partner as well as Maid of Honor & Partner and the of course the bridal room which is the room we stayed in the evening

I have always taken pride in being fit and healthy so as my wedding day approached I tried to keep it as normal as possible or my body would not know what is going on and I would not be certain of how it would react, I was very lucky as well that the stress didn't affect the out come and I still remained normal, I still managed on some days to maintained going to gym as much as I could and ate normal meals.
The Decor was again inspired by the French with birds cages displayed in the centre with babies breath and blush pink Gerber's with fairy lights and rose Gold candle in the centre of the birdcage
The table decor was simple yet elegant less is more vibe with a circular mirror underneath to create the effect of a greater space with the Reflection along with 2 candelabras on each side of the birdcage small tea lights candles were displayed all around the mirror with crystals stones spread all around the mirror. Each table was named after a monument from Paris & London the Bride & Grooms favourite cities.
The flowers represented throughout the day were Babies Breath Blush & Pink Gerber's the Bridesmaids, Groomsmen,Groom as well as Mother of the Bride and Groom had Babies Breath Bouquets,Boutonnieres and corsages.
The tables were 8 round tables of 10 with Tiffany Chairs the Bride & Groom were on high back chairs at a separate table
even 2nd chair was dropped with a tie back and a ring of pearls
The Groom wore a pastel Blue tailoured Suit and Brown shoes from David Jones, brown belt and a navy blue bowtie with a beautiful Fossil watch which i had bought him as a wedding gift.
The groomsmen wore Navy Blue suits,polka Dot suspenders and brown belt from H&M and brown shoes and Navy Blue with white polka dots bowtie from David Jones.
My ladies wore a plush pink halter neck dress from YDE with beige and rose gold shoes from Truworths, Pearl bracelet and earrings from Lovisa. Hair was done and a messy up styled Bun with babies breath around thee edge of the bun.
Our Marriage officer was RegInald James Courtney He performed a beautiful ceremony along with a sand ceremony in which we blend to different sands into one bowl representing to families coming together as one
Louis Thornhill from LBT Photography captured our moments, Louis has become a dear friend to myself and Shannon (My Husband) and he truly made it so easy to be relaxed throughout the day. I will most certainly recommend him and will use him for many moments i would like captured
My true wedding planner and saving grace is in actual fact Alta Oostuizen (My Mother) she took control of everything and succeeded in create my dream wedding and taken it further than my expectations could possibly go, along side my mom was Wilna from Chez Charlene who assisted my mom wth the Decor and flowers etc on the day.
We didn't actually have transport as we stayed at the venue the evening, however we did leave the next day in my Hubby's Little VW Polo TDI that our dear Bridesmaids & Groomsmen decided to decorated our car in all sorts of 'JUST MARRIED" items.
The food was a 3 course plated dinner that we selected prepared by Chef Derrick @ Chez Charlene that was beyond spectacular all my guests couldn't stop raving about how amazing it was, Each course was paired with a white or red wine by Protea from Stellenbosh.
Our Cake, Cake pops and macaroons were done by Bakery Boys each flavour was chosen by myself and Shannon (My Husband) our cake was a passion fruit sponge and icing, and we had flavour such as Turkish Delight, white chocolate, chocolate brownie, etc I can't remember all the flavours but they were delicious, Colours were Rose Gold & Blush Pink
