Having my grandfather and dad walk me down the isle
Seeing my handsome groom shed (a couple of) tears
The worship songs we sung during the ceremony
Our handwritten vows
The first dance mash-up (When God made you and Time of our life of the Dirty Dancing movie)
Perfecting the "lift" when we danced on "Time of our Life"
We had a mini-honeymoon at Club Mykonos in Langebaan. We are planning for the "proper" one.
I chose a natural, timeless and stylish look that complemented my personality. My wedding dress was mermaid shaped with a low back and fully covered in lace. My 3 meter long cathedral veil completed my look. I had a blue sandal Queenspark from as a wedding shoe to complement the beach theme and to make it easy to walk on the sand. My lingerie was all white and had my hubby to be's initials on it (by coincidence). I chose to wear only a set of pearl bracelets and pearl Eiffel tower earrings bought in Paris. My hubby and I decided to both wear the Paco Rabanne - "1 Million" scent on our day.
We tied the knot on the beach in front of Boesmanland Farm kitchen in Langebaan. Our wedding reception was at the same venue. Most of our chose to make it a weekend and stayed over at Calypso Beach, Club Mykonos resort, Skatios, Helios and Masada guest Lodge.
We did crossfit, gym and boodcamps along with cutting out refined carbs to get our bodies in shape.
I am blessed with good skin so I did not have an intense "regime" I only used coconut oil on my face and the Mac facial moisturizer about two weeks before the wedding day.
We went for mint blue, white and black as our wedding colours. As we got engaged in Paris, France and I love the ocean we decided to combine the two and aimed to bring Paris to the West Coast.
We rented Eiffel towers from Function Hire4U in Kuilsriver along with the backdrop draping and confetti baskets. Since the venue is quite rustic, most of the other decor items were made by my Hubby using pallets. We bought fairy lights that we used throughout the venue.
Family friends gifted us with Proteas and other fynbos, whilst the rest of the flowers were obtained from Bunches for Africa in Brackenfell. My father and aunt made my bouquet and the table arrangements.

Boesmanland Farm Kitchen had an in house coordinator, Cathlin Basson. A dear friend of ours - Simone Muller blessed us by offering to assist with on the day coordination. We don't know what we would have done without her! She is just amazing!
Family of ours offered his Range Rover SVR to drive me and my groom around on the day. We also had a Range Rover Evoque offered from a family friend to drive the bridesmaids.
Boesmanland Farm Kitchen provided a large selection of farm-style foods for the guests to enjoy. We got a carrot cake from the Velvet Cake Company - Bellville.
We designed our own stationary using Canva.com, whilst Jetline printers printed the programs.
We literally practiced our complete dance the Friday morning (4AM!) before the wedding. We got our moves from Youtube. We had an amazing DJ - DJ Ty from Mzanzi Soundworx, who also put together our mash-up wedding dance song.
