Our wedding was truly a celebration of True Love.
We met 2 years ago and fell truly in love.
The best way to describe our journey together is through the vows I shared on our special day.
This moment right now is what today is all about. Today I become your wife. Brownie I love you with all of my heart, you are the love of my life.
I never imagined I wound find a love as pure as what I have found in you. You have held me in both my highest and lowest moments and are always by my side as a true companion and soul mate. You are the first thing I reach for the morning and the last thing I reach for at night.
I love the way you look at me and how you make me feel like the most important person alive. I love how you care, respect and protect me. You are a constant happiness and always know how to lift me when I am down. You are the most important person in my life. You are my safe, happy place. Ours is the kind of love that I feel in every part of my being, it feels like I have known and loved you all of my life.
I promise to love you with all of my heart for all of my days, I promise to honour you as my husband and to remain faithful to you all of the days of our lives. I will respect and love you in good and challenging times. I will protect and cherish you above everything. I promise to put your needs before my own and to always remain grateful for the incredible love that we share.
Today I take your family as my own and love them as I love my own. I look forward to the family that we will create and the endless adventures and love we will have for our children. Having a family with you means that we can create something beautiful out of the love that we share for each other.
You have taught me to believe in myself and that I am capable of anything. I love you in the little things and you fill my life with little acts of love every day. You are everything I have always wanted and with you I am living the life I have always dreamt of.
Grant you have made my dreams come true.
You have the whole of me, heart, body and soul, today and forever.
You fill my life with so much happiness and love and I can’t wait to spend forever with you.
I give you this ring as a symbol of my eternal love and that you are my choice. I choose you today and I choose you for the rest of our lives.
You feel like home.
I love you
Our wedding day was the most incredible day our lives. We were surrounded by love and friends and family. We had a lot of friends and family who traveled from far to be with us for the celebration. I remember arriving at the venue and they opened the doors before I walk down the aisle and I could see Grant standing at the end of the aisle and I could not wait to get to him. Even though we had around 120 guests, there were moments where we both felt as if we were the only people in the room; sharing our vows and our first dance were a few of these moment.
We had a very specific look in mind for our big day, we want it to be soft and pure elegance. We made smart choices on the decor we wanted to include and our wedding really was a family affair with making our own props and having the Mother of the Groom do all of the flowers.
We got married at 5pm at Suikerbossie in Hout Bay, Cape Town. A magnificent venue with incredible views of both Llandadno and the Hout Bay.
We had very simple and elegant decor. The flowers were all white roses on the tables, with center piece mirrors and floating candles to add softness. The Mother of the Bride made bonbonerie, which is a traditional Italian party favours for the ladies. We had a colour theme of silver and white threaded throughout the decor.
The groom and groomsmen wore navy suits, brown shoes and belts, accented with polka-dot Happy Socks and navy and white silk pocket squares.
I have 1 Maid of Honour, my cousin and best friend Mia, who wore an elegant, floor length navy dress with silver shoes and accessories.
No, we did all of the planning ourselves.
Suikerbossie did all of the food at the venue and it was phenomenal. We had starters a selection of soup, breads and dips, tapas style. For Mains we had roast lamb and a selection of vegetables and salads and for dessert there was a dessert buffet as well as cake. The wedding cake was made by Tessa's Bakery and was a chocolate cake topped with rough butter icing. The Father of the Bride made a copper heart topper for the top of the cake.
We did the design of the stationery and printing ourselves.
