After a week of wedding celebrations, the majestic mountains of Franschoek surrounded our friends and family from around the world. Tears of overwhelming gratitude about what was and what is and what promises to be, flowed. A kiss sealed the promise. A polo game announced two paths becoming one. Heartfelt speeches were given by our loved ones and the dance floor was opened. The highlight for me was without a doubt walking down the isle and seeing Henco standing at the end of it. What an unforgettable day filled with moments that will engraved in our hearts forever.
For our honeymoon we went to Mauritius where we stayed in the breathtaking Shandrani Resort & Spa.
My wedding service providers prompted for a clean and elegant look which was the golden thread throughout my complete wedding look. My hair was done by the wonderful Ilke Zimmermann from Le hair Lounge who made loose curls that was pinned up on the left side. Cecilia Fourie was responsible for the breathtaking make-up which consisted of golds and dark browns which were perfectly blended. My dress was made by the infamous Casper Bosman and his team who made my dream dress a reality. My silky white dress was combined with a beaded lace top and a low rise back. With regards to jewellery and accessories I only wore chandelier earrings as my dress contained a lot of detail.
We got married at Val de Vie Estate in the Paarl / Franschoek area in the Western Cape. A few of our family and friends stayed in the Estate, where others spent the night in the surrounding areas.
Our decor mostly consisted of whites and crystals with touches of blush pink. We had a combination of round and rectangular tables that were decorated with flower centrepieces which contained mixture of white and blush pink / purple flowers and candles on the tables.
The groom's suit was made by Casper Bosman Designer wear and we found the groomsmen's suit at Edgars.
My bridesmaids wore blush pink dresses that we made by Casper Bosman Designer Wear.
Our marriage officer was Johan Delport from the Tygerberg Gesinskerk.
Our photo's and video was taken by the amazing Charl Smith from Agape Studio Photo and Video Productions and his wonderful team assisted him. We did not make use of a photo booth.
Although we had an amazing wedding coordinator from Val de Vie who took care of all the arrangements on the wedding day, I did not have a wedding planner and therefore I mostly did all the planning myself. I wanted to be actively involved in all the planning and I loved that Henco and I picked out every little detail of our wedding and that you could see a part of us in everything that was chosen. As this is such a special process I am very glad that we planned everything and it was so satisfying to see how everything came together on our big day.
Our food was prepared by Dish food & Social and our wedding cake was made by The Birdcage.
Our stationary was designed and printed by Xander Marnewick from XM Imprinted
