Wow. What a magical day it turned out to be. The weather was fantastic, hot and clear skies. From walking down the aisle with the biggest grin on my face, to meet my handsome groom to having our photos taken with the mountains in the back. Laughing hysterically as little bugs kept creeping up my dress during our photo taking. To our jazz band who bedazzled us all as we all danced the night away. Everyone involved in making this possible truly were amazing and we are both so thankful to all.
We woke up in a whirlwind the next day from only having about 3 or 4 hours of sleep to hurry and join family and friends for a quick breakfast before we dashed for the airport. We spent our honeymoon in the Serengeti and finally Zanzibar. What an incredible way to spend our honeymoon, in the wild with the animals.
We got married at Rickety Bridge in Franschhoek, where some guests stayed the night and others in the neigbouring wine farms.

Nena from Ivy Blue was amazing. She took our ideas and turned it into a beautiful reality. My main theme was to use red roses and sunflowers. Navy blue and burgundy were my colours of choice. On the table, were golden teapots, candle holders, gold under plates etc. The wedding was held outside while the reception was inside.

Lucky for me my bridesmaids like more or less the same as me, nothing to over the top. I found a bunch of pictures which they were happy with, until one day I walked into YDE at the water front in Cape Town and found the dresses I wanted. Lace for the top part and long chiffon/ tule for the bottom.
