The best moment of my day was seeing my new husbands face when he saw me approaching the chapel on the back of a white horse. Other than that the day was more then I hade hope for. All the people close to my heart was there. Taking photos on the beach with my new husband was wonderful and ending the day as the new Mrs Helene Hulme will be one of my favorite memories going forward into our new future.
No. unfortunately we had to be back at work the Tuesday after our wedding but if all goes well we will have our dream honeymoon within the next two years in Thailand where we plan to back pack it all the way.
Our wedding theme was infinity. Due to the fact that it was an outside beach ceremony I wanted to be as natural as possible. My hair was loose with 'n slight curl in it. No artificial color or highlights where added. My make up was light and natural however I don't normally wear any make up so it made a huge difference. My shoes where a nude color with a slight wedge. My wedding dress was designed and made by my mother. It was an ice blou color with white chiffon over it. The top part of the dress was folder and the bottom part a princess style. My late grandmothers crystals where added to my dress as my something old. On my right hip was an infinity made from the same crystals. My mother gave my an infinity bracelet with infinity shape teardrop earrings and my husband gave my a silver necklace with a dalk blue topaz pendent on it. My lingerie under my wedding dress was a white panty with lace on the sides and a silicon stick on bra. My wedding night lingerie was a turquoise panty with a white lace type bra and chiffon dress effect with a white bow on it. My wedding perfume was Dolce and Gabbana light blue Sun set in Salina limited edition.
We got married at Oppiduin Lambertsbay. The venue offered accommodation for up to sixty people. Most of the guests did stay there.
I went for about 10 sunbed sessions before the wedding. I went for a haircut about one week before the wedding and I had my nails done four days before the wedding
No I did not have a planner, my mother and I my three best friends who was also my bridesmaids as well as my father and husband helped make the day possible.
There was no wedding transport other than the horse I rode to arrive at the chapel on the beach.
Our food was prepared by Pieter van Wyk from Laurifolia caterers and the cake was made by Bertina Engelbrecht from Be's creative cakes.
I designed all the wedding stationery myself and I had it printed at Post net Gansbaai.
