The definite highlight would be walking down the aisle and seeing my hubby to be, shed a tear. The smile on his face made my day. Most memorable moment was to walk down that aisle with none other than my loving mother.
We went to Hartenbos, Western Cape. The view was gorgeous. My husband's aunt, Sandra, arranged everything. We went site seeing and also enjoyed the Garden Route in Mosselbay. I mostly enjoyed the horseback riding and of course playing put-put. It was the most amazing honeymoon.
The look I was going for was pretty and plain. My dress did not have anything fancy and my jewellery complimented the dress. My hair was half up, half down with curls and white flowers. I did not have a veil as it would have spoilt the look. My make up was done by the best, Renique. I went for a more natural look and did not have anything too bold.
We got married in Marquard, Free State. The chuch is magnificent. I did not decorate as it was beautiful all on its own. Most of our guests traveled far and stayed the night at various guest houses. Most popular would be Oppistoep.
My wedding decor was not too fancy. We are originally from Newcastle, Kwa Zulu Natal. Therfore we did not use real flowers. We bought the flowers at Factory Plaza in Newcastle. We did most of the decor ourselves. I used fern leaves and silver spray painted bottles along with ivy leaves and tea light candles. Plain but beautiful.
My groom wore a white long sleeve shirt, with green suspenders, a green bow tie and a blue jean. We bought most of these items online.
All these special moments were captured by none other than Niekie Burger. She drove all the way from Newcastle to capture our special day. We also had my husband's sister that took some photos at the reception.
The wedding transport was one of the most memorable. We drove off on a '61 Massey Ferguson Tractor. We had a one of a kind wedding car.
