The highlight of my day definitely was when the wedding march started and I could walk down the isle.
The most memorable moment for me was sharing the special day with family members from abroad even before the wedding began.
We made a road trip all the way to the Western Cape and back home, a whole 2675km in total :-)
My wedding look can be described as "Vintage". I saw my dream dress years ago in Vaal Mall as part of an exhibition. Marius the Designer, spiced the design up a little bit, to fit me, he and his beautiful wife was also responsible for my hair and make-up. My shoes I bought in Bela-Bela while having a break away weekend. My traditional something old was blue lace panty all the way from Australia. My husband had me made the most beautiful necklace to wear with my wedding gown.
We got married at Benedetto on Vaal. Our guests had the option to stay at the venue but most of them opted to find something else.
None, unfortunately time did not allow us to do the spa treatment thing.
Our décor was pastel pink and mint green, with proteas, roses and greenage. The tables had cement picture frames with the table number inside as well as the menu's
Groom and groomsman wore camel trousers with cream coloured shirts. Both of them had a protea pin saying bridegroom/best man.
My maid of honour wore a mint green dress, hair casually done and silver shoes. I choose not to give her a style or a specific look. I wanted her to be comfortable the whole time
The NG Kerk dominee where I grew up in
Stephanie Grace Photography, she made us feel so comfortable and special at the same time and there were lots of laughter.
Yes Marius de Jager coordinated our entire wedding with the assistance of Michelle from Benedetto on Vaal.
