My Fiance and I are typical city dwellers, living our whole lives in the busy Johannesburg City, so when the search began for our dream wedding venue we were attracted to the more country, rustic farm style venue which is very popular at the moment. We immediately fell in love with our chosen venue, Florence Guest Farm, which is in Chrissiesmeer, Mpumalanga. The beautiful forest chapel and lakes set the scene for a magical wedding. We also wanted to have a 'weekend wedding' as we had been warned the wedding day goes by so quickly so it would be nice to have a build up to the day as well as an opportunity to spend time with close friends and family throughout the weekend.
Our wedding took place on the 21 January 2017 and it far exceeded all of my expectations as a bride. We opted to do a lot of the decor and flowers ourselves which was a great bonding experience for the two families and it gave everyone a chance to be involved in our special day. The weather fought to hold back the rain for us and we were blessed to have the opportunity to get married in the gorgeous forest. This was the best day of my life, the day I became a Mrs, marrying my best friend, in the presence of the people who mean so much to us!

Navy Blue and Peach compliment each other so well and the overcast weather let the two colours just POP together in all of the photos!
