Those who know me, know i don't do anything the way it "should be". Our wedding day was exactly that: extraordinary. With the amazing execution of the day, it was Not all glitz and glam. It was hard work and i cried a lot! I was lucky enough to have people from all over South Africa at my wedding, and my best friend who specially came from America to attend and spend a few weeks with me before the big day.
We booked 130 guests into chalets on my parents farm Bundu Camp near Ventersburg, for the weekend.
The ceremony took place under a tree along the Sand River on my parents farm, guests brought their own camping chairs for seats at the ceremony, my parents DROVE me down the aisle in my dads "Goldy" Land Rover which my sister and I use to sit on the bonnet of when my dad did 4x4 obstacles on the farm. There were tears when this happened as it was quite a special moment.
Tug-of-war happened at the reception, my dad auctioned off our tables center pieces to guests, my mom made my wedding dress, wedding cake and desert, friends set up a tent for our bridal suite and the bridal couple made breakfast for all guests the next day!!!
