So out with the old, and in with the new. We LOVE that Green is the new gold, bringing with it the promise of rejuvenation and renewed energy for a fresh new year.

For this styled shoot we drew some inspiration from the pantone colour itself- representative of fresh foliage and lush nature. Being based in the Western Cape means that we are quite literally spoiled for choice when it comes to these pantone parameters but even so; it quickly became apparent that Cavalli Estate would be the 'cherry on the top’ for all the inspiration we could dream up behind this styled shoot. Offering the best views of the encompassing winelands and a slightly modern take on an outdoor shoot, we quickly fell in love with the clean lines and raw modern architecture of this prime property.

Our model, Marlé- stole our hearts with her striking and raw beauty and was exactly what we had in mind for our bridal look. She epitomises the perfect balance between strength with her high-fashion poise but also offers a softness in her eyes that made her our dream girl for this shoot.

Flowers and bouquet styling were one of or favourite looks from any shoot to date- all green and bravely bare, we are loving this look and hope it stays! Authentic Planning’s Lené and Chris were on hand during the shoot to style all decor, table inspiration, florals and bouquets. Lené couldn’t have better encapsulated the mood and look we were going for with this shoot and has an eye for design and detail like no other. These two are the ultimate power couple to work with in the industry!

Rene H Couture, provided us with the beautiful gowns for this shoot. Sticking with an elegant and understated look, her dress designs were perfectly suited for our understated chic theme. Rene's creative energy and enthusiasm only added to the fun of this perfect shoot day out in the winelands!

Joe and Daniela, are two of our favourite local photographers! We loved that they joined forces last year and it was a dream working with two professionals that are so on top of their game. From Joes crouching positions and bush-dives all over the garden space to get the perfect shot, to Daniela’s supremely efficient editing and checks all the way through this shoot- meant it was an absolute breeze with us being ‘wowed’ at every photo review opportunity.


Peach Cronje is someone we’ve had our eye on for quite some time. The loveliest person to work with; she quietly set about hair and make up for Marlé’s three looks, interpreting the brief better than I could have imagined. As talented as she is a pleasure to work with- this is someone we’ll be using again and again. We love the dramatic ‘berry lip’ she incorporated into the first look. Originally from a fashion background, this girl knows a thing or two about making you look and feel your best on your big day!
